We had a wonderful time hiking in nearby Monte Morello and lounging on the terraza at Tenuta Lonciano. The property is a lovely, converted convent of stone in the hills above Florence that has been carefully updated to incorporate modern amenities while retaining all the charm of the original structure. Delicious and substantial breakfasts are included in the very reasonable... More

The photos of the grounds and amenities don't really do justice to how wonderful the Tenuta Torciano is. We were welcomed by Paulo and shown around the grounds. The views are extraordinary. The breakfast buffet was offered quite a variety of delicious foods. Our room and bed were very comfortable. This is now our favorite hotel in Europe!

This is a stunning beauty surprisingly close to Firenze! It's in an old converted convent with amazing architecture, windows, fittings, rooms and art. It includes outdoor gardens, whirlpool hot tub and views to die for. It's situated in a working olive plantation loving cared for by its delightful proprietors Daniele and Massimo. Take just a small effort to leave the... More

Parts of this villa ( an old convent ) date back to the 13th century but it has been well-restored and decorated for its current use. The bedrooms and bathrooms are fine and comfortable, there is a large area for dining and an adequate kitchen. We were self-catering having rented the whole property for 8 days but full B&B facilities... More

Tenuta Lonciano, the lovingly restored 800-year old former nunnery, is beautiful. The outdoor vistas of the Tuscan hills and of Florence in the distance are breathtaking and can be spied also from the charming stone and wrought iron windows in most of the bedrooms. We thoroughly enjoyed the herb gardens of lavender, sage, thyme, and rosemary, the plum trees, the... More

I've been booking with booking websites for a long while but never has something similar happened. Tenuta Lociano might be all the things the previous visitors wrote. We'll never know for the simple reason that though we had pre-paid for our accomodation we were never ALLOWED in. The reason? We were late! Indeed we were. And really really tired after... More

Dearest Christian, from ROMANIA I must reply, since your comments are unfounded and untrue. You should have written the truth, saying that you had booked a room at Tenuta Lonciano through Booking.com, that the cost was 87,00 euro, and that together with the booking confirmation you also received ALL INFORMATION regarding address, services offered, check-in time-span (from 3.30 to 9.00pm),... Our family of 8 could not have asked for a more perfect venue than Tenuta Lonciano for our vacation. The views are stunning and the villa is beautifully and tastefully decorated with comfortable beds and well-lighted bathrooms with showers. Each bedroom is actually like a small apartment with a sitting area, small kitchenette, and bathroom. The villa is very clean... More

I LOVED this place! Danielle met us to go over all of the property and local information including tips about the train station and directions to places we planned to visit. We also asked for a dinner recommendation. They suggested a restaurant just down the street and made a reservation La Bottega di Morello for us. It was delicious. (we... More
