We had arranged for a transfer from the train station to hotel. After waiting 15 minutes for our driver to arrive I called the hotel 3 times before our driver finally came 1/2 hour later. It turned out he was the owner of the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel he threw the key to our room at us....

Firstly I must say that I did not book this hotel as I was part of a 30+ group, but I did contact before going by email. I am a 62 year old disabled man that has to use a mobility scooter to get around. The Hotel Clitunno were very helpful when I emailed them to sort out my scooter...

We were impressed by the decoration of the hotel and the service of the staff. They helped us with parking the car and they brought our suitcases upstairs into the room. The room with a view had a nice bed and bathroom. Everything looked well organized and thought of.

I was also part of the large group and agree with dvdclark, Julie M and Marilyn S! Our group meal was excellent and I always found the staff very helpful. Our room for 3 people to share was rather small but that's my only complaint. It was a most enjoyable stay and I would recommend Spoleto as an interesting place...

Spoleto is largely pedestrianised, so it was good of the owner to meet our coach and take us personally to the hotel, having arranged for our luggage to be brought in by the hotel minibus. The hotel was charming and the staff were helpful. I was particularly impressed with the restaurant, where the choice and quality of food was excellent....

We were part of a large group, stayed three nights. No coach access, met on outskirts, cases transported to hotel, check in painless. Quiet and convenient location just below Liberty Square. Nice but compact room. Breakfast ok, group evening meal really excellent. Staff helpful, creating a relaxed atmosphere, previous comments difficult to understand.

We've just spent two nights here and we're very disappointed. The two men in reception were surly to the point of rudeness. One of them could only manage two words: 'voucher' (we had prebooked through an agency) and 'passports', even though one of us speaks Italian. We've never had such an unfriendly welcome anywhere. The other man then shot off...

This was definitely the worst Hotel during our 3 month holiday in Europe. The Owner seemed to treat his staff like slaves. We felt very sorry for them. Owner was not interested in anything any guest needed or asked. Our room was in the depths of the Hotel. Up many stairs, down many stairs, up many stairs and down many...
