This was definitely the worst Hotel during our 3 month holiday in Europe. The Owner seemed to treat his staff like slaves. We felt very sorry for them. Owner was not interested in anything any guest needed or asked. Our room was in the depths of the Hotel. Up many stairs, down many stairs, up many stairs and down many...

We stayed here 2 nights during a selfguided walking holiday in Umbria. We arrived here after a 20 km hike. The owner made us feel very unwelcome during check in. He gave us a look like 'what are you doing in my hotel?'. He only spoke a few words to us: 'first floor - id card'. No welcome, no info...

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The location is wonderful. Our room was large and comfortable with a great view. Unfortunately the weekend we were there, the place was overrun with kids. There must have been a family reunion. We had planned to have a drink in the bar and eat in the dining room, but thought better...

I had high hopes for this hotel, having met the owners at a travel fair in the UK but when I left after a two-night stay the overwhelming feeling I had was one of disappointment. The best thing about Hotel Clitunno is its location in the historic centre of Spoleto and within easy walking distance of restaurants etc. The hotel...

My husband and I experienced an absolutely horrible day while driving from Sorrento to our planned destination of Perugia. At Orte, the A1 was completely stopped, and then closed. We were stuck on the highway for 2 hours! We thought it was due to an accident, but were later informed that it was due to a strike. It was late,...

The hotel is in a nice position in Town, easy distance from all main touristic and historical places. As we where part of a wedding party we been lucky to be upgrade to a larger room. The room itself was nice but quite dark, the hotel is ok with a lot of pieces of art scattered around the public areas....

Situated almost at the top of the in the old town of Spoleto this hotel is situated on a quiet square that becomes a hub in the evening when vistors as well as locals visit the restaurant. Our room had views over the Umbrian hills, though our room was not completely clean when we arrived, it had to be re-cleaned...

We stayed at this family run hotel recently for the last three nights of an escorted tour. The food was excellent both at Dinner and Breakfast although the extra bitter coffee was foul and quite the worst that we came across all trip. To out taste undrinkable. The rooms were quaint but clean but lacking a little in storage. The safe...

This is a little hotel in a little hill town in Umbria, with all the charm one would expect from such a setting. It's a family-owned operation, and the owner is usually available. He doesn't speak any English, but most of his staff is fluent in several languages. The rooms are clean and adequate, though nothing special. The lobby and...

With a dearth of places right in the old part of Spoleto, Clitunno is the place to stay during your trip here. The rooms are smallish--although the one I stayed in faced a beautiful valley and had the most incredible sunset views. Other rooms faced the ALLEY and/or the noisy street; but keeping it in perspective, you wouldn't want to...
