This is a truly beautiful and awesome place to stay. The owners have done a masterful job of restoration, uncovering stunning ceiling murals in the rooms and included furnishings to fit this ancient and luxurious property. From the moment you enter through the arched entry into the garden you feel this is a truly extraordinary property. The view from the garden takes in an ancient cathedral and what was a sacred mountain in ancient Italy. The very charming Manager, Massimo, greeted us and made certain we received a warm welcome. The continental breakfast far surpassed any "continental" breakfast ever experienced in the U.S. This is definitely the place to stay when you visit Spoleto.
We recently spent 2 nights here. The rooms are enormous, nice breakfast, friendly staff. There is a beautiful view of the valley from the hotel garden. The location is off the beaten path, but easily within walking distance of most attractions.
After driving up scary, narrow alleys you enter this hotel through the Garden of Eden. We were lucky enough to have free parking at the hotel even though we had booked the paid parking. Once parked, we never moved the car. Massimo, the concierge was very helpful and kind. Our room was tiny, but comfortable. It had screens on the windows (JOY), so you could get air without mosquitoes. Our room did not have a view and overlooked a tiny alley. When people were talking in the alley, it sounded as if they were in our room, but everyone quieted down pretty early. The breakfast was lovely with good cappuccino served in lovely china cups. You could carry your coffee out to the garden and be mesmerized by the view. I loved Spoleto and would definitely use this hotel again.
We spent six peaceful and glorious days/nights in Spoleto at this wonderful accommodation. We were looked after beautifully and enjoyed the opportunity to explore Spoleto in all its glory. The palazzo Leti, is perfectly placed for easy walking around pad thus UNESCO recognised village. The restaurants, concert hall and shops along with the imposing castle make Spoleto a town to savour for at least a few days. Palazzo Leti is a perfect place to stay and one in which we hope to return. The rooms are beautifully decorated. The beds are very comfortable and the breakfasts absolutely perfect. We thought all the staff who looked after us truly valued their guests and were proud of their hotel. Thank you to all the staff!
A lovely hotel, set in an old palazzo. On the edge of the old centre, which means you get the best of both worlds - away from the crowds, so nice and peaceful, but within easy walking distance of the sights (the cathedral is about 5' away) and restaurants. The terraced garden has nice views over the forested hills opposite. Our room was very comfortable, breakfast good, and the staff very friendly and helpful. Arriving by car requires steady nerves. The approach road is narrow (think needing to fold your wing-mirrors in for anything bigger than a small car), traffic is one direction only, but alternating, controlled by traffic lights, and one or two corners are too tight to get round in one move! The hotel can provide a parking permit, but the allocated spaces are 5-10' walk away.…
