Good quiet hotel with easy access and good sized rooms. Good location close to main roads. Didn't opt for breakfast so can't comment. Would've liked to be able to make a cup of coffee in the room. I've stayed in a lot of hotels in Italy and this is by far the cleanest that I've been in. Sky in the...

This is our third visit to Hotel Capolago as we travel in the area to visit family and business contacts. We appreciate the cleanliness and full maintenance of the property with keen attention to details. All of the amenities in the guest room are functioning well and we continue to appreciate the comfort of the beds and the spa-like shower...

We stayed six nights in this hotel while participating in an event in the area. After a cramped, noisy hotel in Milan, we appreciated the quiet and comfortable room. Capolago has more in common with an American motel than a typical Italian hotel, but it suited our needs very well. The breakfast buffet was the best we found in Italy,...

I stayed for two nights at the Hotel Capolago in June. This is sort of a hotel/motel hybrid -- although it is more upscale that one might think of a motel, many of the rooms are accessible directly from the parking area through a patio door. This would make it very convenient if you have lots of gear to bring...

We stayed here as part of a Trafalgar tour. This is a nice, modern hotel. The lobby is small but clean. The rooms are comfortable. We had a twin room with two twin beds, a desk, and a bathroom with a spacious overhead rain shower head. It was the nicest shower in any hotel during our two week stay in...

Very basic and cold. Restaurant in dinner is ridiculous. In the morning not believable: 20 people in queue to wait for check out and one person very slow. No care for people waiting. A lot of people in and out. In one word a mess. Do not go! Many nicer at same or lower price in Varese

If you thinking about a nice place for a stop over on the north-south trip to sunny Italy Capolago is the deal, close to the Swiss border (very expensive) Quiet place, close to some restaurants, your car in front of your room (motel) and one of the best bath rooms I ever seen. Comfortabele beds, excellent breakfast and quick check...

A decent hotel, but lacking in some things I expected. None of the rooms have tubs, and I was looking forward to a hot soak in a tub after a long, busy week. The hotel has a pretty good breakfast, but the restaurant wasn't open for lunch or dinner. This was frustrating, as there was a tour group who had...

Stayed here overnight to break up road journey but hoping to have a walk around the lake and/or Varese. It rained so we didn't get the chance to do that. The internet was terrible, kept dropping out. Good that there are 2 computers in lobby for use but with poor internet very frustrating if you're trying to plan travel. Staff...

Stayed there for two nights. The rooms were quite spacious, and clean, the stuff helpful. After have read other revisions, I'm really amazed how many guests have found the breakfast was good. During our stay, the breakfast had a really limited choice, and the coffee was just awful. Get yourself some proper coffee machines, guys.

Thank dirgic
