Stayed for one night. This is a 3 star hotel but the interior has had a beautiful revamp over the last few years and it feels and looks quite classy. Rooms are nicely decorated and equipped. Relaxed and informal with a touch of class, very nice and recommended.

The hotel is mostly frequented by bus tours from Germany, France, Denmark, and the like and so - depending on the groups daily schedule - you might find the lobby and breakfast room rather full. But otherwise the Il Chiostro is a nice and charming place. My room was on the second floor overseeing the garden. I enjoyed particularly sitting...

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and it was lovely. The room had a little balcony and a comfortable sofa to sit and watch TV. Free parking was provided and the hotel is not far from the ferry terminal. Lorelle Canesso at reception was very friendly and organised a early breakfast on our day of departure. We missed...

Impressed by the very pleasant and helpful staff. The room was comfortable and impeccably clean, with a tiny balcony overlooking the cloister and garden. The parking is a lottery, there are only a few places on the street belonging to the hotel, but apparently there are some more somewhere else if you fail there. The only major problem is the...

The hotel is located about 10 minutes drive from the beautiful old town of Verbania Pallanza. Didn't particularly like the hotel's own location in Intra, no views from the hotel, and we didn't fancy Verbania Intra itself. Hotel itself is clean and nicely decorated. Very efficient service. Continental breakfast was good and varied.

I have stayed at this hotel three times, ranging from 2-6 weeks per stay. I normally would not stay so long, but I was attending "The Italian School at Il Chiostro" which has a close relationship with the hotel. I used the Full Pension rate and was able to eat a wonderful breakfast at their wonderful breakfast buffet, as well...

The hotel is clean and rooms are spacious. The hotel is very large with all official photos showing the old monastery wing which has indeed a very nice courtyard. The hotel however has a newer wing too with a very distinctive 1980s Italian feel to it. Our room was located in said 1980s wing so neither the room nor our...

Everything very positive: convenient location, nice and professional staff, cosy rooms and the garden-like patio. Perfect value for money. Breakfast buffet where you get much more than in a standard Italian hotel. Good place for various events.
