Hotel Mary Sorrento Coast has garnered commendation for its exceptionally friendly and efficient staff. While some guests have raised issues regarding room noise, size, and amenities, the cleanliness and views often receive high praise. The location is popular for its convenience to attractions, though accessibility challenges have been noted. The hotel's cleanliness is a consistent highlight, and amenities such as the pristine pool and shuttle service are well-liked, despite some concerns over additional costs and missing coffee facilities. However, opinions on the hotel's value for money are mixed, with some guests finding it questionable.

Beautiful setting with wonderful staff and an exceptional beach club.
We stayed for two weeks on honeymoon and were absolutely delighted with our choice. Vico Equense is a lovely little town with great eateries, and phenomenal sunsets!
The hotel boats a swimming pool with views over the bay and a beach club with plenty of loungers and great serving staff.
The beach club is quite a walk but the hotel runs a shuttle bus service to and from which only takes 4 minutes.
The village is easily walkable and the train station, just the other side of the village, has trains to and from Sorrento and also Naples. This means that getting to Pompeii, or to the ferries to Amalfi/Positano and to Capri is really easy, really cheap and really quick! All well worth a visit!
The hotel serves great cocktails and the staff all spoke perfect English - even though I had learned Italian especially for the trip (they were very indulgent as I tried it out on them every day!). Cannot recommend this place highly enough. If I could give it 6 stars I would!

Had an amazing 1,5 week at this hotel, we wanted a hotel that was close to the ocean but not in the middle of a crowded city, and we got exactly that and more. The staff was very friendly and helpful, if you arrive by car you just drive to the entrance and some very friendly people help you park the car (which is very nice as the traffic around Amalfi and Naples is hectic). The rooms were very nice and renovated, we had a room with a seaview and we highly recommend investing in one of those rooms as the view is great. The breakfast was very nice and had a lot to choose from, e.g. local hams and cheeses, fresh fruit, yoghurts, bread, cakes and different drink options. It was not crowded at all by the pool and the seaclub was very nice. The shuttle to the seaclub is not free however, so if you arrive by car you can easily drive down for about 5 minutes and it is cheaper to park close to the seaclub. It was very easy to visit other cities like Sorrento, Naples, Positano and Amalfi from where we stayed, and it was also easy to visit Pompeii and take a boat from the port to Capri. Would definitely stay here again if we would visit Amalfi again!

We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was perfect. We had a large room with a balcony that provided stunning views over a valley and the sea. We ate in restaurant for one evening and the food was excellent. We nejoyed many drinks from the bar both on the terrace and on our balcony in our room. The breakfast was excellent; there was so many variety and it was frequently restocked by the attentive staff. The staff were superb - everyone we spoke to or served us during our stay were excellent, from reception, the breakfast staff, bar staff and pool staff. All fantastic. A special mention for Alessia and Davide working on reception because they were so attentive, friendly, and supportive to make our honeymoon really special. Alessia helped us to hire a scooter and we easily drove to Positano and Amalfi for one day (40 min drive). The hotel is a short walk from good local bars and great restaurants. It is also really close to a local train station from which you can travel to Sorrento, Pompeii and Naples easily. If arriving from Naples, it is possible to get the train direct to Vico Enquense which is much cheaper than a taxi (Naples Garibaldi to Vico Enquense). Highly recommend this hotel and we hope we can visit again one day!

We have just returned from the most loveliest holiday staying at this fabulous hotel. The staff could not do enough for us and at all times the service was excellent. Everyone played their part in making our stay as comfortable as possible, special mention to Mario the barman who remembered our favourite drinks every night and the waiters in the restaurant, the cleaners with their cheerful friendly professional manner and the helpful reception staff who gave us good advice from
Everything down to what time the local shops shut for the afternoon. We wanted to visit the private beach but didn’t realise it was the last day of the season and we were the only ones going but they opened it up
Especially for us, drive us there and even brought down lunch for us with a lovely bottle of wine. When we were ready we were driven back. We highly recommend paying to have the sea view as it so worth it and takes sipping drinks on your patio To a new level!
The town of Vico Equense is very close by and is filled with lots of choices of bars and restaurants and shops. The train station is also a short walk and is ideal to visit places like Pompeii and the town of sorrento. We have already booked to return next May and we cannot wait!!

Just arrived back from a 12 day Luxuria Coach Holiday with Leger to Sorrento and The Neapolitan Riviera our drivers Gareth and George did a grand job of looking after us all on the coach. Our main hotel was Hotel Mary in Vico Equense situated on the Sorrento Coast Italy for six nights 14th-19th September, what a fabulous hotel with fantastic views, rooms had balconies, lift, outdoor infinity swimming pool with sunbathing terrace, good restaurant and bar, just a short walk to the bustling town of Vico Equense, all the staff friendly and very helpful the house keeping was excellent throughout the hotel, food delicious with table service for evening and buffet style for breakfast with so much choice.
Our holiday itinerary was excellent our coach and drivers took us to Sorrento where we had plenty of time to look all around, we had a walking/coach tour around the sights of Rome, on the trips to Pompeii and Vesuvius, Isle Capri, Amalfi Coast this was operated by local coach and driver and we had a guide Sabina who was very knowledgeable we saw so much.
This was over all a fabulous holiday with good drivers, excellent itinerary and everyone on the coach became good friends and we all helped each other so everyone enjoyed it. Another well done to Leger Holidays

Really disappointed by the hotel and our stay here this week. It feels like they are very much positioning itself for Instagram and on closer inspection, the hotel is surprisingly rough around the edges with poor painting and finishes.

We had a room on the top floor with a lovely view over the marina below, however the room was beside the elevators and you could actually hear the buttons being pressed. We asked to move rooms after the first night as it was so loud and we were fortunately able to move for our third and fourth night, however, as we discovered that evening the balcony door didn’t actually close properly and there was a gap we just couldn’t close! Not helped by a neighbouring hotel and a party in the marina going on until 1am and with barking dogs dawn chorus a few hours later!

I would advise bring earplugs anyway as the hallway are gloss marble herringbone which look lovely but just carry the noise and walls really do seem paper thin.

The rooms are ‘cosy’ but become quite cramped when you realise there isn’t really anywhere to put your bags/suitcase and the only wardrobe space to speak of is 5 hangers.

The sea club is a great addition, nice to have it included as part of the hotel! There is a shuttle they charge €2pp each way but the walk down is pretty fine (just lots of stairs and wouldn’t recommend walking back). I was disappointed to see there wasn’t a pizzeria as the photos suggest, you can order food from hotel and it is shuttled down so we chose to eat lunch in one of the marina restaurants which was fine.
Breakfast was also really disappointing and the coffee even more so! Especially in Italy! All felt a little watered down or from a packet, not fresh as one might expect! The breakfast offerings were alright but not for a 4 star hotel!

I would say all in all Hotel Mary was ok BUT not against what you expect for a 4 star hotel. I think essentially your paying for the view. We booked our stay expecting a relaxing time in quite a plush hotel, but unfortunately it was instead very disappointing and actually quite frustrating.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in April of 2022. We upgraded our room to the Executive Sea View and that was a good decision. The standard rooms are relatively small and having the larger space with a nice balcony was a good idea. The bed was comfortable and the housekeeping was very well done, this is a very clean hotel. I will say that the in- room hair dryer was marginal at best
I would advise bringing your own if you plan to stay in this hotel for several days. This dryer looked a bit like a vacuum cleaner and it was almost impossible to get your hair dry with it.

The biggest issue is that there are dogs in the surrounding neighborhood that bark non-stop. This hotel is set high on a hill and the sound pierces through even ear plugs! This is not just one dog...this is many dogs! I saw one house below the hotel with 4 of them racing around barking like mad things. Across the street on the main street in front of the hotel is another one..racing back and forth with hysterical barking. This barking commences at 2:30 a.m. and goes on for all hours of the night. Some days it did not stop until around 10:00 a.m. The hotel staff say there is nothing they can do about it. They say law enforcement can do nothing about it. I am just saying that for a tourist, its a major problem. You come to Italy to enjoy yourself and the scenery. You do not expect to hear barking dogs for hours on end. For us it was 3 out of 5 nights with major sleep deprivation. For me this would keep me from returning to this hotel even though it is a decent 3+ star hotel. The staff at the front desk and in the restaurant are great. They are helpful and they are pleasant. They are dealing with a problem that needs a community solution. The food in the restaurant was decent, it was plentiful and quickly replenished when things got low. I think the management of the hotel needs to get together with the city government and figure out how to deal with this if the hotel is to flourish.

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at this hotel. Firstly, we paid a little extra for a sea view room, and it was worth every penny. This has to be one of the best views in vico equense. Hotel is very modern and clean. As it was off season, the infinity pool bar and beach club were closed and we couldn't use the indoor facilities without paying extra. The rooms themselves were beautiful but small downside of no air con in off season (room was 30 degrees) and you could hear every little noise from hall and other rooms. We had cocktails at the bar and Mario the mixologist was very friendly and informative. Would recommend this hotel and would definitely book again.

My wife and I stayed for a four night stay at Hotel Mary. The hotel property is beautiful and views are amazing. Our room was big and comfortable and included a comfortable balcony. The front desk staff was very helpful with all our needs. The bar tender was very cool and a delight to talk to. He helped me find local places to eat and watch futbol. The restaurant staff was equally helpful and friendly! The breakfast was served buffet style and was plentiful and delicious. The food we purchased at the restaurant was reasonably priced and also delicious. The hotel is walking distance from main part of the town. That made it easy to navigate and explore. I would love to come back for a family vacation and stay here.

Stunning hotel - From the minute we arrived in our hire car to leaving the last day. Checking in was easy & no problem. Our car was parked for us & our luggage taken to our room. (505) - Stunning views. We ate at the hotel on our first night. The food was delicious & the staff were very smart & professional at all times. The cocktails are to die for! Again very professional waiter. Please see photos.
The room was lovely spacious enough. I read up about no kettle so I took my own.
Breakfast was very good. Even though two people didn’t use the food tongs to put food on there plates! The older waitress was getting very irate at times! Maybe a few signs could be put up not sure if I saw any tbh.
Plenty of breakfast food choices. Coffee could have been warmer I feel. We ate after 9am which at times made the tables look a bit untouched & not cleared away.
The hotel was immaculate we always saw the cleaner moping floors & cleaning the pavement out the front of the hotel.

We used the spa / pool facilities at 25 Euros per person. I also had a Foot Massage 50 Euros by Fredrica she was lovely & very good. I felt refreshed after as I had walked 5 miles round Pompei ruins the day before! I also managed to buy some of the massage oil. Thank you

All in all a very pleasurable 5 night trip.
I would throughly recommend this hotel - prime location to get around.
I would love to return in the summer one day.

A must is a trip to Sorrento/ Ravello/ Positano & Naples
Well Done all staff 👌
