The rooms are very nicely remodeled and very clean and comfortable. Mrs Paola and her son Joe were very friendly and accommodating. We really enjoyed our time relaxing in the room and on the rooftop terrace with the jacuzzi and a Limoncello Spritzer (made by Joe).
I wouldn’t say there was anything we didn’t like, only would have been nice to have coffee available in the room or in the bar area in the mornings. Mrs Paola did make us an espresso the day we arrived, but in the mornings you must go to Zerilli Cafe around the corner in the square for coffee and breakfast. There is a kettle in the room so if you bring instant coffee that would be a solution.
Parking is not too far away, but suggest you park at the entrance temporarily to unload/load luggage.

My recommendation for a hotel in Vico Equense nearby Napoli , Amalfi , Positano and Sorrento . I travel a lot and spend more than around nights in hotels year by year. But this my first review ever. If i will go again to visit Amalfi Coast in italy , I will go for sure again to Don Giulio Luxury rooms , because I love this city and this family-run hotel. I can not write a special reason, but for me this hotel has a very special atmosphere and I feel really at home. The owners are so friendly and always welcome the guests warmly. Gio the son of the owner and Pascuale ( his best friend ) organised everything for us . He helped us to book restaurants and renting boats for our tours from Sorrento to Capri . Everything was perfect , the tour and the restaurants . On top !! The rooms are comfortable , very clean and nice and the breakfast nearby to the hotel offers everything I need for a perfect start to the day. Freshly prepared coffee and so tasty croissants specialties . The location of the hotel is fantastic, you are in the middle of Vico Equense and you can leave your window open, because the street and area are very quiet. I look forward to stay again at Don Giulo in future and I know am going always to be happy there, no matter in which season. I can highly recommend this hotel for a visit to Amalfi Coast . Spotless room and bathroom, secure parking on the side, discount at the restaurant (L'Università della Pizza) and breakfast included in a pastry shop in the small square. BELLISSIMO. i cannot say enough wonderful things about this truly special property. the owner, paola, makes the experience a delight with warm, personal attention, and her engaging spirit is an added bonus. the rooms are STUNNING, with a wealth of monogrammed towels and luxury toiletries. the mini bar is perfection and the design details are a dream. additionally, the location is perfectly situated near restaurants, cafes, bars, shopping, and the train station. every member of the staff is kind and attentive, without being intrusive. i felt completely safe and completely comfortable the entire stay. cocktails on the terrace are a must! in all, a remarkable stay and a place i will eagerly return to for years to come.

Spacious, modern, well-presented and equipped and convenient apartment about 7 minutes from Vico Equense rail station and just 1-2 minutes from supermarket, greengrocer, and with a handy bread shop just opposite. Restaurants under 5 minutes away. A little disconcerting on first arrival as there is no free access entrance, just an intercom on the wall which, in our case, was not answered first time. It may be beneficial to contact the owners with a clear arrival time if you have one. After this, various key codes were provided and access was then straight-forward. Also thought the price point was a little high, certainly compared to our comparable accommodation in Naples and Rome but maybe it is the going rate for the Sorrento/Amalfi area. We had a very enjoyable stay.

Our family of 5 stayed at this lovely boutique property last summer for 4 nights in the 2 bedroom apartment. It was perfect for a family, providing ample space and a nice terrace. The owners were so nice and welcoming. We fell in love with the town of Vico Equense and the hotel is located in the perfect spot in town. Quick walk to the train station where we took the train to Pompeii. Excellent restaurants, including the restaurant next door that the hotel owners also own. Great location to easily visit Sorrento and the Amalfi coast.
