Incredible place where you can breathe absolute peace due to the isolated position outside the mass tourism of the Amalfi coast.
We would like to point out the family's customer care, in particular Mrs. Giulia, who is attentive to every need of the guests.
We recommend dinner (even if it is a fixed menu) on the terrace in the splendid setting between Vesuvius and the coast.
You have the pleasure of staying in a historic residence, where the family who is always present but discreet also stays.
The breakfast is also excellent with homemade desserts and cakes made with local products.
Excellent base for exploring the nearby Amalfi coast!

Villa Giusso:
a historic residence that the owners have been able to enhance with great passion and ability, respecting the original structure and its great and long history, obtaining an extraordinary result.
The estate, with its large and magnificent park, swimming pool... overlooking Vesuvius, with paths that wind through flowers, beautiful pink lilies!!!, fig trees and crops, is truly unique!
It offers quality cuisine made of local products worked with expert and safe hands.
Here we felt at home: since our arrival we found courtesy and availability.
Each of our requests has always found a precise and timely Response.
The attention to us, during the stay, has turned into a relationship of mutual esteem and sincere confrontation.
After a week, we leave this beautiful dwelling with gratitude to all the staff. A special thanks to Erminia for her affectionate care.

We visited Villa Giusso during late October to early November which was the end of the season in the area. We had this as a base to be able to drive and make excursions in the area. To get there you need a car and a lot of courage to get up to the hotel but once you get up there it's amazing!
The house is full of history which the owners share, the rooms are beautifully decorated and above all the service and the fantastic breakfast served in the dining room every morning was described by our children as 'the best breakfast they have ever had' with both cakes, pastries, fresh fruit and good cheeses! For me with celiac disease, they had full control and offered several options both homemade and purchased.
We also received many great tips on restaurants in the local area that we had never visited otherwise but which made a big impression on our experience in the area.

I was at Villa Giusso in August and, despite the August crowds on the coast, I felt like I was in paradise! away from the confusion, but one step away from all the most beautiful things that the area can offer: visiting Naples, Pompeii and Herculaneum which you can also reach with the Circumvesuviana, tasting all the food specialties you find nearby, going on excursions and walks in the surrounding area, and then... return to your corner of Paradise and relax in the pool under a magnificent lime tree. It feels like being with family, the ladies Giulia and Erminia are so kind and affable; Giovanna, the niece, helps them with great professionalism and everything is perfect. Starting from breakfast in the ancient refectory of the friars with homemade desserts made by Mrs. Rosetta, up to dinner served on the terrace at sunset. You are in a place that offers many things, but you don't want to go even one meter away, it's so good! the rooms are spacious, the bathrooms equipped with every need, large and comfortable beds, the staff is always ready to help you if you need anything. in short, a perfect place!!!

+1
We stayed at Villa Giusso for the second time and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The lovingly restored former monastery is beautifully situated over the Gulf of Naples and offers, in addition to a fantastic view and very nice rooms, also an extremely warm service. Dinner served on the terrace overlooking the Gulf is also particularly recommended.
Thank you for the lovely stay!

We stayed for three days together with our little one, the rooms are very clean, large in size and retain the original character of the former convent.
Extraordinary outdoor spaces, meals are served on the terrace overlooking the gulf, breakfast in the ancient kitchen covered with seventeenth-century magliolica, in addition to various gardens there are numerous lounges, a children's area, walks in the olive groves and a modest swimming pool also with a view.
The meals are very healthy and with local products as well as from the garden.
Hospitality thanks to the family management ready to tell the story of the place and of the family that has lived in the place for over 200 years.

We stayed a few days in late May at this beautiful property.
We were immediately fascinated by the beautiful view. Comfortable room
with breakfast at the top. Dinner is highly recommended, local products processed with extreme skill. The courtesy is at home, like being in a family environment. What to add: for sure we will return.

We had an unforgettable stay in this historic building full of memories of the hostess's family. The view of the Bay of Naples is breathtaking from the terrace and the fragrant gardens! The welcome is warm and the hostess charming. We will come back and highly recommend this haven of peace.

No TV, no traffic, no WiFi... outstanding hospitality, marvellous building (a well renovated palace!) and views, great room (a suite!) in the main part of the property... a remarkable place if you're looking for a real taste of the late Italian 19th century on a beautiful hill on the Sorrento peninsula... and for those who want to relax: we loved to sit on the terrace or in the garden inspired by the sunset of the gulf of Naples. But the real thanks go to owners who made us feel at home... the special home of a count and a countess. Such a place with beautiful views cannot obviously be right on the coast next to the private beaches and indeed we needed to climb 4,6 km into the hills of Sorrento, plus 600 meters along a one lane road in total. But no traffic and it was worth it ! Also there are good restaurants in the area for those nights when no special dinners are organized at the Astapiana! So... it really depends on how you want to experience the Sorrento peninsula.. and Astapiana was an unforgettable experience for us.
