If you prefer to be out of the city when visiting Bayeux, this privately owned chateau in pretty surroundings is only about 10 minutes from the centre. The room we had was clean and modern if a little basic. Friendly host who was helpful in recommending somewhere to eat on the coast ( only 20 mins drive ) They do...

My wife and I were looking forward to staying at the Chateau, and fully expected it to be the highlight of our trip. We adored our stay. The property is amazing, with rich history and beautiful grounds. Our suite was lovely with its attached sunroom and spacious bathroom. The breakfast was fantastic. Fresh crepes, croissants, fruit, yogurt, french cheeses, cake,...

Set in the quiet grounds, this chateau provided everything we needed for our 5 night stay. The room is spacious with nice views over the gardens, breakfast was outstanding and lots of choice , it was nice sitting around the table chatting to fellow travellers. We stayed for an evening meal one night, lovely food and service, with great company....

This is the perfect place to stay for a visit to the Normandy attractions. The grounds and the mansion are elegant.; the hosts (Vincent and Corrine Capon) are warm, gracious and highly accommodating. They have a charming (most of the time) white cockatoo which isn't shy about demanding attention. We stayed 5 nights in the Catherine de Sureau suite. It...

The home is being beautifully restored. The grounds are well-kept, and the owners were absolutely fantastic! The breakfasts were as good as any I've had -- fruit, yogurt, crepes, eggs cooked to order, pastries and breads, juice, coffee, bacon.......and on and on. We decided to eat in one night, and Vincent presented a truly fabulous gourmet meal! Every course was...

We did not want to be in the town and found this to be a great place for several nights for several reasons. It's very convenient to enjoy the town sites like the tapestry, war museum, cathedral, shopping. Could not be a better base to engage the Normandy war sites. Vincent and Corinne were great hosts. You need to enjoy...

Vincent and Corinne (and their sweet son!) have a very special place in Chateau Damigny! Built in the 1100s, the Chateau is the perfect base for visiting Normandy. Definitely take advantage of the dinner option on at least one night. Incredible value and the dinner was the best that we had on our visit to France. Breakfast each morning was...

Beautiful little château, really nice owners, and one of the best breakfasts I ever had in France. We had three rooms and they were all very well appointed and very quiet. WIFI ok but not available everywhere in the room. Great bedtime tea!

If you are looking for a beautiful place to stay Chateau de Damigny is perfect! Though not far from the main road into Bayeux the chateau seems like it is in the country. The grounds are gorgeous and the house itself is spectacular. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The owners are gracious and the breakfast is to die...
