My husband, two sons and I stayed at the Cobb & Co in Surat in December 2016. We had such a happy country greeting from the local children sitting on the veranda. It was so refreshing to stay in such a friendly town. We are so glad we chose Cobb and Co for the following reasons- the owner Mr McLeod...

We decided to stop overnight at Surat while travelling between Emerald and Stanthorpe. Called enroute and was able to book a double room. Doug, the owner, meet us as we arrived and showed us straight to our room and pointed out undercover parking just metres away. He had put the heater on for us so the room was warm and...

Great little Motel with an excellent host. If this place was closer to Melbourne or Sydney you would pay triple. Was very surprised to find this gem in such a small town. The room was the cleanest I have ever seen, The bed was nice and comfy and ohhh so quite. All the furnishings looked new and the owner Doug...

I stayed here for a weekend workshop - the genuine country hospitality was unrivalled. Our host Doug had the rooms cool with the air-conditioning on - and it was a hot day and showed us all to our rooms, individually. Nothing was too much trouble - in fact we were showered with kindness.

In Surat you have two choices. The Cobb and Co or New Royal. Cobb and co is 4 blocks back from the river in a quiet part of a very small town well away from the trucking route. Doug the owner is a great host and the place has every thing a traveller needs.

My Partner and I stopped here for an overnight stay on our road trip from Wollongong to Townsville & we were pleasantly surprised. Warm, comfortable bed, nice, clean bathroom and a nice, quiet, relaxing place to stay after a whole day on the road. I recommend getting the breakfast, it was delicious and was worth getting up for.

The unit I stayed in was very spacious and well set up with a friendly, homely feel. Owner is very hospitable with biscuits and condiments available for free. Beautiful setting, quiet location. Great place to stay when in Surat or passing through and need a break.

My mother and father stayed here while attending a function. Clean rooms, fabulous breakfast and gluten free wasn't an issue. Truly lovely stay and thank you Doug for your 'nothing is too much trouble attitude'. He didn't bat an eye lid when I asked if he had a place for some chooks overnight. Would definitely recommend

An unlikely gem, this one - four of us stayed here for three nights on a working trip, and after staying in some questionable accommodation elsewhere, were delighted to find ourselves welcomed into this haven of loveliness with a fine glass of red from Doug's cellar. The rooms are immaculate and beautifully presented, with outstanding facilities both inside and out....

Very excited at the moment as I work as a Real Estate Agent selling a wide area of properties which means I stay in a lot of different Motels. Out of all the Motels this one at Surat is at the top of my favorite list as they go above and beyond in all your comforts. From the moment you...
