Spent one night here and what fabulous views from the balcony and restaurant. Very friendly small hotel, with lovely breakfast and brilliant dinner out in the open. A perfect stop after visit to Ostrog Monastery. Would highly recommend hotel.
Amazing hotel, with lovely kind caring staff. A special thanks to Jovan and Ancor and all the waiters who made my stay so special. Beautiful views from my room. Maybe a 30 mins brisk walk to the monastery, which is amazing. Frèsh good, the pasta was delicious! Would recommend to everyone!
Excellent hotel with a very nice restaurant. Best place yet in the Balkans! Hotel Sokoline is spotlessly clean and the service is friendly & hospitable. Without a doubt one of the nicest and most pleasant places we have stayed in on this trip. There is a breathtaking view of the valley from each of the rooms, all of which have their own private balcony. The restaurant is excellent, and features tasty local cheeses and cured meats sourced from local farms. Staff is sincere, welcoming and goes out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay. I give Hotel Sokoline the highest recommendation, and same for its restaurant.
amazing location with beeutiful mountain view, the hotel restaurants offers delicious meals and can also provide lunchbox in case you need a take-away breakfast; it's a perfect place to stay if you are planning to explore Montenegro mountains of do rafting or just relax in some place away from big cities
I stayed here for one night when I went to visit Ostrog monastery. This is a very nice hotel with a great staff, and with truly breathtaking views from the terraces. I really enjoyed my stay, all of it. I was there on the last day of Wimbeldon when Serbian player Novak Djokovic won. I watched with the owners and staff and a couple of other guys and it was so fun! The woman who is owner with her husband, she is so sweet! I really felt welcomed and they really went out of their way to make me comfortable. I ate in the restaurant and watched the first half of the euro cup final, food was very good and I had some really nice wine recommended by the helpful server. I went back to my room for the second half, and also had a nice time watching in there. They have a screen on the sliding glass door so that you can leave the door open to breathe the clean mountain air without fear of getting eaten by mosquitos. Breakfast is also very good, they give you fresh raspberry juice and the cappucino was PERFECT.. and I am really picky. Lots of things to choose from on the breakfast menu. I would return there in a minute and I would love to go when some of the famous storms of Montenegro come.. sit by the window with a glass of wine, and watch nature. It got a bit noisy in the morning when people were leaving their rooms, so if you are a light sleeper maybe ask for a quieter room (I had #1) but for one night, I could deal with it. …
Sokoline hotel is all about amazing staff, super tasty and delicious food, spectacular and outstanding views, and the most attractive is that it is 2km away from Ostrog Monastery. I liked everything about this hotel and could suggest all people if they want to visit Ostrog then this is the best hotel to choose. The path is very narrow to the monastery so keep it simple to have a closer room to rest. The staff, all of them are super friendly I liked all that this hotel offered to us. Moreover, we were at the Skader lake that is not too far and a lake that is a must see. So, Sokoline hotel is definitely a must visit one!
We had just driven from Kotor via Lake Skadar and arrived mid afternoon. It reminded me of a ski resort out of season, being a chalet style hotel on the edge of the escarpment. It’s family run and a very nice hotel with a good restaurant. The last night we were there, a massive storm came through in the night and did extensive damage to the awnings that provide protection from the bright afternoon sun. The family was in shock next morning as they came to grips with what had happened but I’m sure they will recover. Hotel Sokoline is an oasis in the mountains and we strongly recommend it.
Great hotel, well worth staying over if visiting Ostrog Monastery. Great food and very clean hotel. Family run business and such a friendly welcoming family at that. Recommend to anyone visiting the area.
The views are just incredible, the staff are so smiley and helpful & the food is delicious and reasonable. The rooms are immaculate and very tastefully decorated with plenty of storage and the balcony is huge with more epic views. Cannot recommend this place highly enough!
We called in today whilst cycling to the monastery. The terrace area with the view over mountains is spectacular. Great restaurant with delicious food, very well presented and served and fantastic value for money. The waiters were also very friendly and spoke perfect English. Would go here for sure if visiting the monastery.
