Lovely little b&b on GR65. Beautifully restored stone farm house and lovely relaxing garden for an afternoon drink.  Very colourful guest rooms.  We were able to help ourselves to tea, coffee, water. Beer was available to purchase. Good Wi-Fi.  We  were the  only couple having dinner and as it was a very warm  evening, the owner set up  a table ...

We could not find fault with the room, location but we were a bit disappointed by our hosts. We had the feeling that we were a bit on the way, there was none of the warmth that we experienced during our St Jacques trip in other parts of the country. It had a wine list which was a first in...

Had one night with Lionel, as a stop on the Chemin de St Jaques. A lovely quiet location, and would rate La Hulotte as excellent. All the facilities we needed were available, and our ground floor room was large and comfortable. We really appreciated the ability to make ourselves tea & coffee as we wished, and our evening meal (vegetarian)...

The location is outside of a village so we didn't bother leaving as we were very exhausted from a hot day on the Chemin de St Jacques. The owner was super friendly and helpful, left 4 beers in the fridge for us, and directed us to all we needed in the home. Totally updated and bright and cheery, this was...

La Hulotte was, for us, a delightful stop near Limongne on our 'Chemin de Jacques'. Our hosts went out of their way to make our stay wonderful in every way. We loved the peacefulness of the garden, and could sit there with the convenience of Wifi reception. The facilities were spotless and our room had a door directly to the...

I wholeheartedly recommend this Bed and Breakfast, or Gite, as it's called in France. My sister and I stayed there, each in our own room, with a shared bathroom when we were hiking the Chemin de Compostelle. La Hulotte is steps away from the trail and a shady 40 minute walk from Limogne, where you can go to have a...

Walking the chemin du puy (camino de santiago) this place is handy. Priced like a fancy b&b but gite like service at best. Shared toilet and bath a flight of steps away. First place in 3wk of gites (hostels) and b&b that charged extra for wine with dinner. Supper pretty basic, not the usual excellent 'gite de france' quality. Breakfast...

I am definitely confused to see how differently everybody see the events. On our guestbook, on may 8th, which is when you came, we can actually read : "excellent bed and breakfast, the nice welcome, the quality of the rooms and, of course, the meal, made us feel comfortable." And I did not make it out! The wine in the...

We found that this chambre d'hote the best of all accomodation we had experienced on our walk from Le Puy. The 'little' things were all taken care of. Things like decent coffee (not high on most Frenchpersons agenda, but still...) , fresh milk - not UHT, a selection of decent cereals, and an owner who cared about the food they...
