We spent one night at Le Moulin de l'Abbaye in mid-September. We were happy with all communications we had with the staff prior to our arrival. Covered (in a cave) parking was conveniently located across the street. We were very pleased with our river front room (#2) which had all the details we required. The bed was comfortable and what... Great atmosphere. Friendly and efficient staff. Food is really good. Value for money. The restaurant is well situated in the centre of town. Always find a table even when it's very busy. Highly recommend.

Perfect for a romantic gateway! The little town this hotel restaurant sits in feels like it come straight out of a fairytale. The architecture is incredible and the river is beautiful. They have flowers everywhere and the combined sounds of the bird and the water is enchanting. The rooms are decorated in shaby-chic fashion and looked newly renovated. The restaurant... More

A beautiful hotel set in the beautiful small French Town of Brantome. Fantastic views of the Abbey from the hotel terrace where you can sit out by the weir on the river and relax with some fantastic food or wine

What a welcoming hotel. It's a Relais & Chateaux place, and well up to the quality you would hope. We were welcomed as we stepped out of the car by the young lady from reception, who then insisted on helping us with our bags, checking us in, and showing us the room. The building is very old, and full of... More

We stayed at the LeMoulin for one night and had purchased a gourmet package. At the entrance you are greeted by the most awful red plaid rug. Think Scotland. We had booked a room with it's own rooftop terrace overlooking the falls. Room #7 in the old section of the hotel. The room was very small with the strangest burnt... More

2nd visit here as we got married in a local Chateau earlier in the year. We both love this hotel. Small, yet super attentive service. Beautifully decorated rooms and common areas and their restaurant and wine list is absolutely stunning. I could not give this hotel and restaurant any higher recommendation! You'll love it!

We stayed here with out two teenage daughters for one night. We were lucky to have an upgrade to a suite which was a lovely treat. The rooms was very comfortable, but we did not spend a huge amount of time in them. We didn't eat in the restaurant as it was closed on a Tuesday evening, so we ate... More

For the price it's a bit steep if I'm honest, lovely setting but it was a bit disappointing. My room was small and definitely didn't feel like i was in any kind of luxury. The breakfast was quite literally one of the worst value meals I have ever had. €17 you get nothing but a nice view. I could of... More
