Marie-Jo and Dominique made us feel like at home from the moment we stepped in. It is really quite rare to feel treated like a member of the family so immediately and the absolutely love to look after their guests - it's a joy to encounter. Not to mention the room was beautiful decorated with great taste and quality. We... More

Fron the moment my husband and I arrived Marie and Dominique made us feel very welcome. We had no French but Marie and Dominique made a great effort to communicate and inform us of the local events and attractions. It was a real French experience and Dominique cooked us a superb French cuisine evening meal. We stayed in the Merllin... More

One of the most hospitable chamber d'hôte you can find in the region. Mari-Jo and Dom go out of their way to make you feel at home. The proof of the pudding however comes with Dom's cuisine served with delectable cheers, good humour and a genuine feel of welcoming. Try it!!!

Our family stayed at Onigourmand earlier this month and very much enjoyed both the historic town of Oloron and the natural beauty of the surrounding area. Marie-Jo and Dom offer bed and breakfast accommodation in their home and were very hospitable and welcoming. Their advice on possible excursions and points of interest was very helpful. A delicious evening meal, cooked... More

We visited our friend, Pierre-Emmanuel, in Oloron-Sainte-Marie, last June. We were not able to stay at Onigourmand since they were fully booked at that time. Instead, we stayed at Cathy's, an interior designer and professional masseuse, who was very accommodating, as well. We were invited to dinner by the very lively and entertaining couple, Dominique and Marie-Jo, at Onigourmand. Although... More

We recently visited Oloron-Sainte-Marie to trace family history. While there, it was our great pleasure to stay at Onigourmand. It was a highlight of our trip! When we arrived, Dom, a chef, and Marie-Jo, an artist, greeted us as friends, welcoming us with an apple tart and coffee. After getting to know each other, they showed us to our rooms.... More

I spent the early part of the Spring and Summer walking around 30km a day along the Chemin de Compostelle from Arles, generally staying in gites d'étapes and chambres d'hôtes. I had pre-booked my accommodation in Oloron by email and as soon as I arrived in the town I phoned Marie-Jo to ask for directions to the Hotel Onigourmand. She... More

We were welcomed with open arms by Dominic and Marie-Jo. Loved our time there. We cooked with Dominique while watching World Cup on TV. So much fun. They were helpful with directions and suggestions for nearby restaurants too. I highly recommend a stay at Onigourmand. It was a very special place.

First, southwest France is a beautiful area, less touched by tourists than many others, yet with just as much culture and history readily available, not to mention the extraordinary geography. Marie-Jo and Dominic, owners of Onigourmand, have the rare ability to genuinely want to take care of their guests, embracing them as family, and never appearing to being "at work".... More

Our visit to Onigourmand was the most memorable part of our trip to Southwest France. We spent four nights with Dominique and Marie-Jo, using Oloron as our base for exploring the surrounding area. As a traveler, we seldom get to know the people we encounter, so this was a special opportunity for us. While you might think it would be... More
