We were hiking the GR 34 so arrived somewhat bedraggled! The owner was welcoming. He could not have been kinder. We reserved the Mer & Voyages suite, a lovely, large antiques filled room with a 4 poster bed and a day bed (and great views of the bay!). We felt pampered putting on the thick, cozy, terry robes after luxuriating...

We stopped for a night at La Maison de La Marine on our way back to England from the south-west of France. We booked having read the earlier reviews and were not disappointed. The owners are very friendly, relaxed and were good with our three small children and helped to make our stay pleasant and relaxing. Our room overlooked the...

Under new ownership Elodie and her husband could not be more charming and helpful. We don't eat froment (white bread) so she went out and bought some local rye for us! The location to the harbour is ideal and this is a crest getaway spot for hiking the coast or going to the beaches 10 mins north of cancale (there...

During our drive through Normandy we stayed a night at the La Maison de la Marine in Cancale. Cancale was a beautiful city on the coast and our night in La Maison was excellent. The hotel is located on the main street and about a 20 minute walk to the shore with its restaurants and beautiful views. The hotel lobby...

Nice B&B just behind the local church, quiet place although near the center and not far from the sea. We had a large suite on the top floor, with nice large bath room (and shower), and a nice sea view. Very good breakfast in a lovely garden behind the entrance.

A gorgeously decorated house, with impeccable attention to detail, especially in the dining room, where the walls and ceiling have been painted by artists. Situated in a quiet part of town, La Maison de la Marine is restful and tranquil and the sea is just a short walk away. Tastefully decorated, each bedroom has a specific theme and a lovely...

We had an amazing visit... I beg, stay on the top floor overlooking the sea. An amazing room worth every penny of the price. We missed the top notch restaurant downstairs... We stayed on Monday the only night they are closed but saw the chef starting the stock through the window Tuesday morning and KNOW we missed a treat. The...

My husband and I stayed here for one night in June. We were on a driving holiday around the coast and booked here for one night. It was easy to find and in a nice quiet area away from all the hustle and bustle of the promenade. We had booked prior to have dinner in the restaurant. This was a...

We found this hotel on the net; it looked good but the reality was far better. The rooms (2 couples) were spacious, comfortable with new bathrooms and comfortable beds, and lovely views in the evenings and mornings. The owner (Michelle) and her staff were friendly and very helpful, with recommendations for restaurants and wth arranging transport. The hotel - with...

We were meant to stay in st Malo but were warned there was a book festival over the weekend. We therefore looked a bit further and found this hotel which looked very interesting. We arrived and were very informally welcomed, no reception desk, just the lady of the house. all staff offered help immediately with luggage. The room was very...
