This was an excellent find, we just stayed in Argeles sur Mer for the one evening and couldn't have wished for a more pleasant or central spot....breakfast was superb served in the square behind the hotel and had a true authentic feel.....our hosts obviously have worked to make the hotel both chique and welcoming......

We originally planned to stay in Collioure, but reading the reviews of L’Hostalet on Trip Advisor, changed our plans and spent two nights here. It is a very nice small hotel, with only 6 rooms, all recently renovated - ours had an excellent new bathroom and good bed. Our only gripe with the room was that it wasn’t very well...

We wanted to spend a few days in the area and because of the fantastic reviews decided to stay at L'Hostelet. It was a bit difficult to find as it was market day and the roads were closed - however we did find it and it is really very good. Not the usual sort of place we stay in but...

This is a wonderful little hotel, right in the center of Argelès, with easy access to car parking and the train station. The rooms are nicely decorated, and all fittings are thoughtfully and tastefully done, including a nice bathroom. Although the hotel is in an old town house, everything feels new, though in-keeping with the traditional building. Everything is lovely...

This place is so good I'm actually writing this review whilst we are still here, albeit our last day. Just come in at 5pm extremely hot, sticky and sandy from the beach to a beautifully cool room, fresh white linen on the bed (changed every day as well as all the towels) which is just perfect for a snooze after...

We flew into Barcelona but wanted to spend 2 wks in France, so we chose the Argelès-sur-Mer area of the French coast, N. of Barcelona. l'Hostalet is a hidden gem with 2 gracious, helpful owners, John and Mathieu, who helped us unload the car at the front door&carried our bags up to our king-sized bed (2 twins together). The room...

Mathieu and Jonathan are the most amazing hosts I have ever encountered and, without false modesty, I have travelled rather extensively and at quite a variety of budgets from very basic to luxurry level, as the years went by...The Hostalet is a delightful Bijou hotel, which can boast a very tasteful interior decor, supremely comfortable beds and bedding with wonderful...

No better place to stay in Argeles-sur-Mer. All of the comments from previous reviews are accurate. L’Hostalet is tucked away in the heart of the village. Very professional and gracious hosts who will assist in any way possible to make a memorable visit. Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay at L'Hostalet. The rooms were nice and clean, with simple warm decoration. The breakfast was tasty, with fresh fruit and orange juice, bread and pastries. The best thing though was the friendly staff, they really make you feel welcome and comfortable. We will come back!

What a wonderful, welcoming establishment. A clean, lean room with wonderful bathroom and gracious, helpful owners. Though we were there off-season, their recommendation to dine at Le Bartavelle, nearby, resulted in one of the best meals we've had recently. I would not hesitate to return.
