Auberge du Bon Vivant is a hotel at Argelès-sur-Mer at a 10 minutes walk from the beach. It is a little hotel with a few rooms. Most of the rooms are very basic There is a good bed, douche and lavabo. Toilets are in the corridor, exept in the luxuary rooms. The service is very friendly. Breakfast is simple but good for a price of 6 €. You can have lunch and dinner at a very fair price and it is very tastfully. The 'plat du jours' are cheap and very good. I can really recommend this hotel.

Actually it was 2 great meals within a couple of days and we will be back again. How they can produce such a great lunch for the price they do is beyond me! The menu of the day had loads of options. We had the fish and the portion was huge. The service is friendly, quick and efficient. Food served piping hot (except when it should be cold)! We could hardly move after this great lunch.

we have been stayin here on holiday for one week, with my girlfriend. well if you are looking for a nice and relaxing place to stay, not far away from the beach, with a friendly staff and with a superb restaurant, this is the place to be. we appreciated the big parking lot (for free) and the general feeling of "being at home" rooms are clean and you dont want to miss a dinner there, money worthy. I am sure I will stay there again in the future. Bravo!!

Very warm welcome. Choice of table albeit very busy as the evening progressed. English speaking and very helpful with the menu (all in French). Food very well presented, cooked and no extra sauces displayed on the plates! Nice to look at and very appetising and thoroughly enjoyable to eat. Highly recommended.

My husband and I decided to book a 4 day break to Argeles in mid September. To be fair we were more concerned with price rather than luxury and decided to book Auberge du Bon Vivant. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome. The owner and her team couldn't do enough for us. The hotel is conveniently located for the old town and the beach so you get the best of both worlds. Le petit dejeuner is out of this world with fresh croissants and homemade jam!

My wife and I stopped off here for a drink, relaxing and enjoyable. we saw the food being served to other guests and decided to call back and eat there, which we did, twice!! we were so impressed the first time we called again two days later. the food was excellant, atmosphere relaxing and the price very reasonable, hard to beat that. The owner spoke with us on our second visit and what a genuinely nice person she is, and interesting. the staff were also very impressive even when under pressure, overall Tre Bien, if im back in Argeles I'm going to visit again.

What a great place, six of us spent the night here for the 1st day of our pyrenean cycling trip. The food was excellent and well priced, ambiance was lovely, sitting out on the terrace, rooms and bathrooms were great just refurbished, (we had 2 triples), good showers, comfy beds. Aida the host was very welcoming and allowed us to store our bikes in the rear of the hotel. The restaurant appeared to be frequented by locals as well as guests and a few stray holiday makers ( i think most holiday makers stick to the beach resort hotels, but if you want more of a local feel with good food and good reasonably priced rooms stay here!
