Stayed here on 16th May 2017 with my husband. Booked sea room. Lovely room looking out to the sea. In a beautiful peaceful spot. Very clean. Staff friendly and chatty. For evening meal Hubby had scampi starter and Lamb main and I had Soup starter and Beef Stroganof for main and for desert I had cheesecake. All the food is...

This family owned hotel was very welcoming, with excellent food. Our Room 8 was very spacious, with a sea and garden view. A castle (pretty garden inside), 12C church and excellent dune-y beach are all just down the little lane. Round the corner is the village with post office, tea room, pub, and arts & crafts reading room (not open)....

We came down to Manorbier to meet up with a walking group. We stayed for 2 nights at the Castlemead hotel. A lovely little hotel in a great location with sea views. The room was nice and the bed was very conformable. Breakfasts were excellent and the staff were warm and welcoming. I would recommend this hotel.

We stayed here to attend a wedding at another venue and I was thrilled we did. The hotel staff were welcoming and so friendly. The rooms were beautiful with little extra touches making it more special. The views were beautiful and the food at breakfast was extra tasty. I will definitely be returning here.

We stayed for four nights at the Castlemead Hotel to celebrate our Silver Wedding anniversary and were made most welcome by the friendly staff, including our small dog. The hotel is truly pet-friendly; there is even a corner of the dining room where well-behaved dogs are allowed to be with you at mealtimes. Our room in the courtyard block was...

We stayed here for a relaxing family pre- Easter break and we were delighted with the hotel. Manorbier is a very picturesque, unspoilt little village and this hotel is at the top of the lane which leads to Manorbier Castle and onwards to the beautiful bay beyond, so its position couldn't be better. The dining room has huge picture windows...

Castlemead is beautifully situated at the head of a small wooded valley, overlooking the sea, Norman church & castle.Set in half an acre of pleasant, mature grounds and lawns it offers a gloriously relaxing spot, in the heart of the village, yet only 500 yards from the beach. A small comfortable unpretentious 4 star restaurant with rooms, we have an excellent reputation for good food. out door dining in the summer months, and warm cosy meals by the fire come winter. We have nine bedrooms all en suite with beverage facilities/colour T.V. The restaurant, lounge bar all enjoy glorious views, giving direct access to the garden. Three of our rooms are situated in the Coach house set 20 yards from the main building across the car park, ideal for guests who have problems with stairs or wish to bring there dogs with them. Family rooms are available, central heating is throughout, with open fires to warm you when necessary. Castlemead offers an idyllic spot for walkers as the coastal path crosses the car park at the bottom of our garden, bird watchers and nature lovers. ... more   less
