Seems like those several rooms were created for pilgrims, as we heard a story. Very basic but nice, clean and sunny: two windows for 3 peoples room. My son with his family stayed there for 3 nights at room #4, and we visited it several times. Location is to dream about! It was not easy to find it first night,...

About a month after booking the hotel on the ot-montsaintmichel website I found the negative reviews on TripAdvisor. Almost cancelled the reservations but my family said to leave it. Upon arriving, we found the check-in office easily. Our hotel was up the main road, Grand Rue which is a steep incline. And the hotel is at the other end of...

The instructions on the email you receive did not explain that you had to go to a building down one end of the village to get the key then try and find the non descript entrance to the rooms at the other end of the village. Took us ages to find. When you ring to find our where it is...

I had booked this hotel because everything else was already booked so had no choice. Reading the reviews I was ready for a bad experience but sleeping ON mont Saint Michel was something I had done before and I was taking 2 friends to share the experience, the magic of it at night. 1) when I called all my questions...

First of all this is not a hotel as you would know it. You collect a key from another establishment,k enter through a door down a few steps off the Main Street, and you enter a passage. Our room was down the steps and the whole place is seriously unclean. The stair carpet is mouldy, and the staircase handrail had...

A hideous hotel - overpriced yet extremely grim, this is NOT to be recommended to anyone other than backpackers. No aircon, no wifi and no character or style whatsoever, Le St Michel is a vile place and easily the worst hotel I've been in ever. A prison-like atmosphere amid tiny rooms with no positives at all, there is a reason...

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Saint Michel during a short, overnight trip to the island. For anyone planning a visit to Mont-Saint-Michel, I highly recommend that you stay right on the island. You can wander the island in peace during the evenings/nights and early mornings while all the bustling tourists are away. It's truly magical. We chose Hotel...

I recommend staying a night or two at the Hotel Le Mont Saint Michel. The hotel is inexpensive, yet within the walls of the abby. The guest services are found near the entry to the abby, up an alley way on your left as you walk up the main street. You are staying in a historic building, converted to hotel...

I booked a room online in March. I knew that it was to be a simple barebones room, and I have no problem with that. After searching for the hotel for 45 minutes, I called for directions and was told to go to the Terrace Poulard reception. I should have done this sooner, but they should have explained this in...

We have stayed in every kind of accommodation you can think of, and I was pretty sure I knew what I was getting when I booked this hotel, so I was extremely pleased with this place. Sounds like some people have booked another hotel and been disappointed because when they got their this was what they received...well, if that is...
