We stayed in this hotel with our family of 4. It was "quaint," small, and expensive but that is to be expected staying on the island. Given that it was on the island and given those constraints, it was a good hotel. We had a room with a loft that suited our family well. The room was historic and enjoyable....

If you're thinking of touring Mont-St-Michel in the Normandy area of France, think about staying right on the island. It is a heavily traveled tourist destination (as it should be - quite spectacular), but staying right there will allow you to access the beautiful abbey first thing in the morning as well as touring the island in the evening when...

What an amazing experience to spend a night on Mont-Saint-Michel!! We were there on a Rick Steves Tour and it included one night here, which was the major highlight for me of the entire two weeks. We received a room about halfway up the mount, well above the small village at the base. We were glad we heeded the advice...

Have dreamed of visiting Mont Saint Michel for decades, and so when we finally had the opportunity to actually visit, the high price for one night seemed worth it to "have the Mont to ourselves" after the last shuttle left for the evening. We booked a Logis Bay View room, and the long climb up the steps through town to...

The concept of staying on the island in the medieval village below the abbey sounded great, but the reality was very disappointing. We understood the logistical difficulties of carrying or rolling your luggage over the cobblestones streets to the hotel--and fortunately, Auberge Saint-Peter is close to the bottom of the hill. We knew that there would be a flight of...

Rooms are average. We ate at the restaurant and received the worst food ever. Fish over cooked and very dry, chicken was so over cooked and dry, that it was almost crunchy, the steak was tough and tasteless. These three meals could not be eaten as they were so awful. I had langosteins, which were tasteless compared to other restaurants...

The Auberge Saint Pierre is a lovely little hotel on the main route of MSM a short distance from the entrance. The decor is traditional and the room was tiny, but comfortably appointed. The reason to stay on the Mont is to enjoy the quieter side of MSM both after 10 pm and before 10 am. It is magical. The...

Got to hotel with 2 big pieces of luggage as we were traveling for awhile, no elevator no bell hop. Receptionist starts to walk us into the middle of town away from hotel building. She informs us our room is in the middle of town several blocks and lots of steps away. Ridiculous. We then ask for other options and...

Hello, We have taken note of your comment. You have made your reservation on our website where everything is written. You had booked a room overlooking the bay where it is written that these rooms located in the upper village with many steps of stairs to climb. It was also written on your confirmation email. It is also written on...

Great hotel with charming decoration, friendly staff and good restaurante. The breaksfast is really good, with fruits, great cheese, crepes etc. The hotel is located in the main road of Mont Saint Michel and has a exclusive exit to the wall. The rooms are very cozy. The beds are confortable and the bathrrom has good amenities. I strongly recommend.
