Room stank of smoke and was unclean. Abandoned cars in the car-park with several dodgy people hanging around. We were on a budget, booked for two nights - figured it could not be too bad..we were wrong, disgusting rooms. One of our party was from Canada and he could not believe this place was allowed to operate. Needless to say we did not use the showers, avoided the breakfast and stayed somewhere else for our second night - the cost of which was not massively different but the quality was a million times better. DO NOT STAY HERE with a family, Avoid at all costs, you are better off sleeping in your car - but not in the car park of this place.
Appalling. Simply, appalling. OK, I guess, the reason you are reading this post is because you are on a limited budget, like myself, I suppose. This is a cheap "so called" hotel. 35 or so dollars/ euros or whatever so you obviously don't expect much. But... There are no towels, no hand soap and, ehm.. no toilet seat. I tried to complain but the receptionist don't speak english. Bit unusual for a hotel on the Swiss/ French border. Anyway. Do yourself a favour. Get a cheap hostel. Or any hostel. Or just go and sleep on a main train station. Or the airport. Or if the weather permits, sleep in the park. You won't regret it. Just stay clear of this *#@*##@*"*@ hole.
This was the worst hotel I have ever visited. The showers were dirty and toilets were blocked. The breakfast were very poor and there was a little seating area. When you went for the supermarket nearby in the night there were no lights on the road to the hotel.
First of all, it is definitely NOT an airport hotel, as it took us ten minutes drive with a taxi (40 CHF) to reach the place. Beside the bed which was ok, this "hotel" was nasty. Don't even think about having a look under the bed. The restrooms were stinky, dirty and the floor was wet. There were even shoesoles-prints on the toilet. And of course no possibility to wash hands. And the lights went off each time, to make it more comfortable. We got kicked out of our room at 10am by the room service, went out to have breakfast for one hour, and as we came back nothing was done. Only positive aspect: the reception people were competent and helpful. Basically: don't stay here. Just forget about it, there are other hotels around.
So, it is cheap. But having said that, there is no saving grace, just like there are no towels (bring your own). A breakfast of French bread (acceptable) and honey or jam, with a coffee is about all I can say. Rooms are noisy as everyone walking to shared ablutions will keep you up all night. There is parking as you can see from the picture, make of it what you will. If you have low expectations I can assure you they will be met in full. Just don't. It may be cheap but it proves you get what you pay for. And if you don't have basic French, even more luck to you.
