We booked this as a last minute holiday and what a good choice! It is a traditional chalet and although there in reality the inside of the chalet could do with improvements and renovation (e.g cracked sink in our bathroom), this was a lovely place to stay. Both the rooms and guest areas were always nice and warm, which is... More

Thank you Daisy C for your review of your Ski Total holiday in the Chalet Alaska. It's great to hear that your experience was so far removed from those of other of our guests in previous seasons, which reflects the investment made in the chalet and the fantastic team there. We do hope that we'll have the opportunity to welcome... More

Great Ski Week. Spent a lovely week at Chalet Alaska. The hosts couldn't do enough. Great food and company. One of our best holidays. Only downside was the lack of shower curtains which was bizarre. Otherwise would have been 5 star.

Thank you Jonathan S for your review of your recent stay in the Chalet Alaska with Ski Total. It's fantastic to hear that your Hosts looked after you well throughout - though we have reported the matter of the shower curtains to the Resort Manager to look at. We do hope that we'll be welcoming you again. More

I stayed with my 2 boys for a week in February half term. On arriving I was told that the kids had to eat dinner at 5pm separate from the rest of the chalet. This was news to me and was not made clear at the time of booking or on the website. The chalet manager was not interested in... More

The Wi-Fi wasn't working for the week we were there because the owner hadn't paid the telephone bill. Wi-Fi availability was one of the reasons we chose this chalet as I had business to continue whilst away. We weren't told by Freya, the rep., that we could almost ski in and ski out. We found out by reading another review.... More

We're sorry that issues with the Wifi adversely affected your stay with us. We do advertise on our website and in our brochure the details regarding ski access, so we regret that you were not aware of the options earlier. We're glad that you enjoyed the food and resort itself. More

Pros: Hot tub when working was nice although it doesn't resemble the picture on the trip advisor marketing. En suits and showers in the rooms were basic but nice enough. Bedrooms were the same - small but had everything you need. Great location and a perfect resort for all standards of skiers and boarders. We had a range of complete... More

We're sorry to learn that you felt let down by aspects of your stay with us. There is no excuse for shortage of basics such as crockery for which we apologise. To clarify for other guests, we offer one mid week towel change in line with our environmental policy. If having a choice of dishes at dinner time is important... More

Chalet Alaska has the makings of an excellent chalet but it lets itself down in some areas. Undoubtedly excellent for getting to the piste, 30 seconds to jumping on the nearest run down to the lifts. The chalet itself is well appointed with a good hot tub, sauna and communal area. It is the communal area however that is awkwardly... More

We stayed in chalet Alaska last week and the staff, food and standard of service were just great! Thank you Jonny, Rosie and Abbie! Some of the rooms are smaller than lead to believe in the details of the chalet BUT in our experience chalet staff can make or break a good holiday. And as a group of 20+ who... More

At the risk of repeating myself, I will never travel with Ski Total again. No reputable company would encourage or allow or be unaware that their staff lie over and over again to their customers. Ski Total did just that. If you have booked the Chalet Alaska with Ski Total, do not have high expectations. The tiny room with very... More

We stayed in Alaska in the 1/2 term week and I can only agree with 'Viktor's' comments. Food was plentiful & good. Chalet was tidied regularly. Kids loved the hot tub. We had a great week of skiing in this lovely chalet. This is an ideal choice for couples or groups in their 20s/30s, who are prepared to be sociable, outgoing and to enjoy the après-ski to the full.
