They did everything by the book. If it weren't for the long drive, I would visit it every year.
Staff is showing a lot of attention. They have a Michelin rated restaurant but it was closed when we were there. That was unfortunate.

The end of the earth…right next door to home. Hotel Pashmina wises for one thing only : to create a peaceful haven for its guests, a break from daily life and for them to be transported into a new world. For …Moreeach of the hotel’s five stars we will make five promises to all of our guests : relaxation, excellent family atmosphere, unbeatable luxury, escape and an exceptionally memorable holiday. A luxury refuge This expression may seem contradictory in essence. When we speak of a « refuge », we generally invoke ideas of danger, outdoor mountain living and makeshift accommodation. However, a « refuge » can also be an area where we feel safe, at ease, far from daily troubles…a refuge is a shelter, a cocoon, an oasis in the centre of the desert, or why not a temple on the very top of the mountain, a room with a view out over the horizon ? The experience offered by hotel Pashmina is a simple one : exclusive luxury in a mountain resort. As now the fourth 5 star hotel in Val Thorens, Le Pashmina, will complete the resort’s range of high quality accommodation by offering a unique luxury package at the very summit of Europe. Le Pashmina is not just another hotel amongst a large number of already existing luxury establishments. Le Pashmina offers an unforgettable experience, a service of excellence and a complete breath of fresh air. Luxury at le Pashmina can be found in the very materials used to build it ; strong raw materials, stone and wood… « bring the mountain inside »… Luxury at Le Pashmina is the 500 m² space dedicated to its spa by l’Occitane which soothes and invigorates. A cocoon inside of a cocoon, warm and welcoming throughout… Le Pashmina is 42 bedrooms ranging from 34-70m², 8 « Cosy Home » suites between 60-145 m² and 2 three-storey chalet apartments of 128 m². It offers also an unforgettable experience in its IglooPod room on the hotel rooftop – gaze into the stars and sleep underneath the night sky Luxury at Le Pashmina is the culinary excellence created by renowned and award winning chef, Romuald Fassenet. Luxury at Le Pashmina is a philosophy. And philosophies are rarely found to be so simple… Less

You can ski out very easily, you can ski back if you can manage a red run, but the hotel will pick you up in town, if you phone them. You can walk it takes 10 mins, but it is up hill and in ski boots carrying ski, not the best option. We managed very well with an 18 month old and a 5 year old.
