I had a wonderful time staying at Hotel Cancuen. Basic accommodation but excellent value! On site restaurant served good food at reasonable prices. Service was excellent. The best part of the stay was the information I received from Dr. Ceasar and Ceasar (father and son) who own the hotel. Ceasar also does tours of Candalaria Caves which I highly recommend....

My family and I took a lovely tubing tour of Candelaria Caves at Los Nacimientos, and stayed overnight at Hotel Cancuen to get some rest before driving to our next destination. The hotel is basic, but very clean and adequate. The Comedor in the hotel grounds served good, reasonably priced food.

We had a wonderful experience at Hotel Cancuen and on the caving river tour they give. The hotel is in the jungle and is locally owned. It is very clean and comfortable with a very good restaurant on site. The parking lot is secure and monitored through the night. It is really nice being in the jungle and sitting on...

Rooms at the hotel were clean and very reasonably priced. Came here for the caves and we weren't disappointed. this place is a little off the beaten path and taking public transport takes a little work but makes a great stopover between semuc champey and Tikal. Did the full day caving tour with the owner Caeser who spoke excellent english...

Really enjoyed our 2 nights here. Cesar the owner speaks fluent English and is so friendly and accommodating. The rooms are basic but clean and quiet which is all you need :). The diner on site is nice cheap tasty food. The young boy cooking here, cooks the best eggs in Guatemala - whether its pancakes, fried eggs, omelettes -...

The rooms are clean and simple. The comerr or restaurant on site makes some delicious and reasonably priced for food. Cesar the manager speaks perfect English and was very hospitable. The tour we organised to the candeleria caves through his guide was amazing - Caesar even came along with us. Te caves are a must see in Guatemala. My husband...

So this is a cheap hotel, very basic, not somewhere you would want to go out of your way to visit. But the hotel is NOT the reason to come to Raxruja, the property is, specifically the Candelaria Caves. The owner speaks great English (he's the only one) and can set you up with a guide to take you around...

We stayed here for 2 nights and paid extra for the air conditioning and hot water. The room is simple, but we had everything we needed, and the hot water (once the breaker switch for the heater is turned on) works well. We also ate most of our meals in the restaurant on site. There is no menu, but the...

The room is good, the air conditioning is noisy (be warned, light sleepers) the room and bathroom are clean, definitely. IT IS GOOD FOR SLEEPING. I asked for the dinner and breakfast schedule of the diner (because it has tables and a kitchen and it says "diner"). The woman at front desk said from 6 to 9 pm and breakfast...
