A great place for a holiday all immersed in the nature of the biggest national park in Italy. Home made breakfast with pastries and bread by Carla was delicious and Tommy can run you to and from the place at request shall you travel without car just I was. The rooms are beautiful, spacious and cleaned. Bed linnen are crips and towels are soft being taken a special care at the laundry service they use. Il Rifugio is way beyond of a simple bed&breakfast service with Italian hospitality at their best. Highly recommended.

Carla and Tommy are the most amazing hosts I have ever met. Carla bakes exquisite pastries for breakfast and Tommy cooks fresh homemade meals using local ingredients for lunch and dinner. You are welcomed to their well equipped and comfortable rooms. There is a sitting area and pamphlets advertising the local attractions. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Carla is fluent in English and was very helpful, before I arrived, directing me to train and bus schedules since I was travelling from Rome. This is a beautiful quiet rural area of Italy.

My family and I stayed in Il Rifugio del Brigante, Filignano in July 2015 - I can honestly say Carla and Tommy were the most hospitable of people. They went above and beyond what any hotelier has ever done. The food was all homemade and excellent. Carla and Tommy even met my family in Naples to show us the sights. We can highly recommend this hotel. Fabulous. Yvonne, John, Conor, Declan and Ronan

Absolutely delightful stay here with Thomas an excellent host. Breakfast was quaint and scrumptuous, location for us was great. Parking could be a problem but as we were the only guests during our stay it was not a problem for us. Would make a return visit here as could find very little fault. Only thing was on our 3 night stay there was no daily room tidy/bed making or towel changing and consequently had to ask for loo roll which was provided no problem. Gorgeous part of the world.

We were welcomed like part of the family! The rooms are spotless with a beautiful view, clean air, and magnificent food! They went out of their way to accommodate a multi Lang group and make us feel like we were at home. I can't say enough above the food. Wonderfully fresh, traditional cooking with beautiful flavor. Glorious escape from the Rome heat and a place we would happily return.

Cycled through Filignano with Bike Team Keymove and stayed one night at Il Rifugio del Brigante. The brother and sister that own and run this bed and breakfast were wonderful hosts. The hotel is an old fort that has been carefully restored to retain all its character. We cycled through the beautiful countryside and arrived late in the afternoon. Our hosts welcomed us to their bar for beer and capucino. That evening we enjoying a great meal in their dining room. This hotel was the highlight of the trip!
