After our original booking fell through, we found ourselves at Royal Family hotel. The hotel itself is located a 2 minute walk from the beautiful stretch of beach, and on the main road leading to Dragon Bridge (25 min walk).
The reception staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and we managed to work around the language barrier by exchanging numbers and whatsapping any questions we had. The very helpful lady on reception, Ya, booked tours for us, and our onward travel.
We had a double room on the 12th floor with a sea view. Bed was comfortable, room was clean. The shower was incredible! Air con worked well. We took advantage of the laundry service which took a day to come back washed and ironed, which smelt lovely.
We had a breakfast one morning which was okay, noodles, breads, cold meats. The lobby area is very clean and comfortable. The rooftop pool was a surprise! We didn’t have chance to use it but it looked very inviting.
Overall a lovely stay, and excellent price taking into account location.

Thank you so much for early check in after long trip from Dalat. Room was clean. We felt so relaxed. But then we got some troubles when I lost bag on the beach. The team was were kind when you help us to find it. Fortunately, a resident was really kind to get back my bag. That was a date worth remembering.

I stayed at Royal Family Hotel, Da Nang for 2 nights this month, with my wife and 2 teenage sons. The hotel is situated very close to Da Nang beach. I'd booked a Family Connecting Room (2 rooms with a connecting door), on the 14th floor and we had a lovely view of the city and the beach from our room. The room by itself was neat and spacious for 4 people. We faced some plumbing issues soon as we checked into the room (water wasn't draining out the bathing area) and that was a disappointing part to start with. But it was attended to once we raised a complaint with the front desk. Moreover, when we reached the hotel from the airport at local time around 10 pm, the reception staff said the bell boy had retired for the day and so we had to wheel our luggage into the lifts and thereafter into our room on our own. The breakfast buffet (complimentary as part of the room cost) was on the 2nd floor, and there was no AC nor any ventilation on this floor. Being vegetarians, we had a tough time breathing and having breakfast given the strong smell of meat on the floor. Moreover, there's hardly anything for vegetarians in the menu, so we managed with fruit juice, bread, fruits and veg noodles. The Da Nang beach is within walking distance and that was definitely a plus as far as the location of the hotel is concerned. The staff were friendly but English clearly isn't an easy language for them to communicate in but we managed somehow. Overall, I'm giving 3 stars to the Royal Family Hotel, Da Nang as the shortcomings I've mentioned above overshadow the lovely location of the hotel.

We booked two rooms here for 3 nights, rooms smelled badly of damp, we asked for room changes which were no better, we grabbed our bags and booked something else, lost the price of the first night they refunded the other two. I spent ages researching hotels and it goes to show you cannot trust booking. com reviews, this was rated fabulous and had almost 1800 reviews Look at my pictures, nothing fabulous about it

after couple days stayed in this hotel, my husband and i decided that we don't need to find any other hotel for the next time to danang. Everything was great from service to staff. They welcome us with friendliness and enthusiasm. Room was not only nice, clean but also comfortable. And especially you can try alot of fresh and delicous food at the restaurant in this hotel. Anyway, we were satified when we stayed here.

The family room has comfortable beds, a bath, large window with great views. It's the second time we've stayed there, but it hasn't improved since we were first there not long after it opened. The front office staff are friendly, but poorly trained. The breakfast buffet had very little variety day to day over the 5 nights we stayed. The eggs were pre-cooked and cold, and the coffee was instant powdered 2 in 1, pre sugared and not to my liking, anyway. On the plus side, It's a really good hotel in a great location with very comfortable rooms. I had hoped it would be better second time around, but was disappointed.

This hotel claims 3 stars, but it should be given max 2. We're traveling through Vietnam for about 11 days now and this has been our worst experience. The 'ocean view' comes from a small window next to the bed. The breakfast is probably great for vietnamees, but if you're European...forget fresh bread, fresh juices, good coffee, butter...even eggs was hard to get. 'You have eggs? NO!' Ok...nothing really? By the end we got an omelet and boiled eggs. But the bread was 3 days old and no butter. For vietnamees the breakfast has enough to offer. Dumplings, French fries, fried rice, soup, etc.
The rooms are ok. It has a bed in it and it takes a while before the shower gets warm, about 3 minutes, but it's ok. Problem: they didn't take off the plastic of the matras. So you will be sweeting...and thinking why? It's because of the plastic wrap around the matras. They placed it there just like they bought in the store.
In danang there's a lot places to sleep. So...take an other hotel before you book this one. We only slept here because of a cyclingtrip we're making. so we had no choice...

The Worst hotel I have ever stay in Danang and in the World…. Look, you guys even never know the customer services. We booked via booking and their terms to pay at reception on arrival They ( hotel staffs) contacted to ask for deposit. That is fine but never stated upfront.. why!!???? We arrived late at the midnight and got room The room was old but okay As we was too tired .. The Worst thing is AC works and stop … We run down to ask reception for help… he came up and checked the remote control and did not work again. We did call them but never help…( run down again as they did not have phone in room) Hey… We paid to stay and sleep… we could sleep at all ….did you know how to serve!!????? It is LIKE A JOKE - Please AVOID AT All COST..

GOOD POINTS: My parents really liked this facility. The staffs were brilliantly friendly, they always spoke to us gently and politely. At first, we got some small issue with our bathtub, they instantly happily changed us to a connecting room type, which amazingly big (double size than the original one) and had a great view. But unfortunately, the new room had no bathtub, it was understandable, but my parents need to be soaked into the hot water after our long travel, I asked the staff and once again, they treated us with a free offer of another bathroom (bathtub equipped). The water was also very strong and quickly got hot as well. Breakfast was a part that my parents liked most. There were various choices of fine quality local dishes. Its location was also a good point, it's pretty close to the beach and urban area. IMPROVING POINTs: Don't know but I was not really into the coffee taste. Probably bcs I am a coffee addictter, hopefully, the coffee should be improved. But its taste was acceptable anyhow.
