Really nice place to stay with family. Extremely nice and good service. Always happy staff and willing to help in any way possible. They took me to pharmacy for free when I needed medicine for my child and were all the time on alert if needed to go to hospital. Which we luckily didn't. The assistant manager made sure that we always had everything we needed and they assembled a water cooler into our room as we were staying for 10 days.

A getaway from city life!!!! Suitable for those who don’t really want to do any of the typical shopping in Batam and just want to hang around by the beach, relax and do Swimming.
Husband and I even booked a couple massage at the resort. And we put our 6 year old at the kids club whilst we did this. Massage of course is not as cheap as you would find it outside the resort. But, at least we didn’t have to worry about what my little one would be upto.
The room is standard and basic. Even the toilet facilities is just a stand up shower. No bathtub/jacuzzi style bathroom. But, it’s okay. The facilities around the resort make up for the basic room.
Breakfast was superbbbbbb. So much food and there was even a little entertainment dance number by the staff!
We dined by the poolside and even had Shisha. Food at the resort was Ofcourse not cheap as you would find it outside.
There is a free shuttle bus every 2 hours that goes to Batam Ferry Terminal. So, if you want to head to the town, you can hop on the free shuttle bus. Gojek doesn’t come to the hotel, and the hotel transport at the resort can provide transport around Batam for you. We paid about $30 (if I’m not wrong) return trip to go to Nagoya. The driver waited for us too.
SUNSET IS SO BEAUTIFUL!!!! so get your camera/phones ready for that beautiful shot by the swimming pool/beach with the sunset in the background.

The view is beautiful regardless with room you stay. There's 3 different pool for you to swim in and if you have kids, the pool is wide and big enough for them to run around and also they can play at the beach (there's swing in sea!!) There's small indoor playground for them too (aircon of course) called Dino World where kids can draw/color/face paint/slides/ball pit/etc. At night they even provide movie screenings under the star to end the day. This resort caters everything for everyone.
The only thing that can be improved is their breakfast spread (not much variety) and their massage prices & masseuse (too expensive and can't feel much eventhough told them twice to make it abit harder)

The recent 2 nights stay was the third stay during the pandemic, I choose this resort as the most decent place for a staycation especially when you really need to avoid crowds.
Huge area with a lot of options for outdoor activity if you want to keep active while enjoying a short getaway. The hotel is ahead of the innovation, using a contactless concierge in the room as an option to request buggy, extra room amenities, or even ordering food for in-room dining, seamless and very easy. If i can give suggestions, the hotel needs to improve the way the team introduces this digital assistant to the guest, as it is really worth using.
Jump up to the room, the size super huge compare to other hotels in Batam, my room on the 5ht floor, the room settling in the right spot with a stunning view overlooking the icon of Batam barelang bridge, you are also at the best spot if you like to watch the sunrise from the room balcony, can't ask for more. The breakfast has such a good spread, I enjoyed a decent coffee in the morning.
The hotel friendly team can be found almost every corner, you won't be neglected.
My favorite spot is sipping cold beers in the Island lagoon pool, the infinity pool view to the beach and sea. Will definitely come back to this beautiful place. I miss sipping a shisha Rocksalt already,,hahah

My husband is working in Batam and we decided to spend 6 nights at Harris Barelong to celebrate our anniversary. I cannot say enough good things about the staff. They were all so fantastic, warm and welcoming, they truly made our experience the best. My husband decided to ask for a "special" dinner at the Rock Salt Beach Club for our anniversary (only restaurant open during covid) and it was magical. They set up a covered table on the lawn complete with twinkling lights and a beautiful decorated table. The meal was a 4 course meal complete with wine pairings and was fantastic. A truly memorable experience to celebrate 43 years. The room we chose had a great sunset, ocean and garden view and was basic but very comfortable, roomy, and clean. Pools and garden areas are beautiful and even a kids spray park for the littles. All the staff deserve more praise than possible for their bright, welcoming smiles. Thanks Guys and Gals!

1. Got alot of mosquitoes, everyone of us got alot of bites. 2. Staff don’t understand simple English, hard to communicate. Even my husband was speaking abit of Malay still have luck of understanding even simple food knowledge in the menu. 3. Better if balcony have ceiling fan so can stay in the afternoon while looking at the beach. 4. When we ordered the in-room dining when we first arrived almost all in the menu is not available. 5. Better promote other things to do in the hotel so you can maximise guest stay. 6. Beach front not clean, for 3days I didn’t see anyone clean the beach front, make use of the low tide period. So your guest will enjoy the beach. Don’t waste your good location. 7. Massage is abit expensive, if we are 5 people its still cheaper to go to town and pay 2hrs massage and transpo than using you spa place. 8. The pizza dough in the rock bar is under cooked and the cocktails are too sweet. Although i enjoy the bibimbap alot but the veggie they put are raw. 9. The middle pool are dirty, try to walk around u will see molds around specially the round sitting deck there. Thats why we only went to the kids one and usually we swim at the infinity pool more nicer. 10. Put more lights around will be more nicer or have some dinner at the beachfront or like movie at the beach front.
Although I stated the things that we don’t like, we still plan to visit as we enjoy the relaxing stay, big rooms, the seafood restaurant and the staff are nice even our patience are getting low for not understanding the things we say and request.

Shuttle provided from Batam Ctr Terminal to hotel which was a plus point, however transport’s air conditioning can be better as it was very warm and stuffy throughout the 30 minutes journey.
Hotel staffs were polite and friendly. Location is a little far from the city but the hotel has taxi facilities to bring guests out which is pretty affordable and driver was kind and accommodating as well.
Breakfast is good with plenty of varieties. Room is pretty basic with basic amenities. The towel policy is a little ridiculous as per room is only supplied with two towels despite having 2 adults and 2 children. But aft much explanation, they decided to send the additional towels.
Pool area is big. The pools are not very well maintain. The nearby beach is pretty for sunset view.
There’s a nearby Barelang seafood restaurant, can request for buggy to drive over and vice versa. Food was cheap and delicious. Must try!
Had my massage done on day of check out as there was a miscommunication btw the front desk and spa staff which was initially suppose to be for the night before the checkout. But they were kind enough to accommodate to my early morning request. Massage was great and affordable too.
Overall we had a good and pleasant short getaway from the city.

Went here to just unwind on my birthday . On the first day , we visited the famous Barelang Bridge and upon request , the cabbie brought us to a small village to get Banana Fritters with cheese . 2nd day , we only went out to have our massage done in Nagoya and headed to Barelang Seafood for dinner , which is about 10mins walk , next to the resort . Suggest to go early so that once you're done eating , it is not so dark to get back to your room . Ofcourse , food was awesome and there's varieties to choose from . The sea was so clear , i can't bear to move away from the swing ! Haha ! Would like to extend our gratitude to Elan who came to Batam Centre Ferry Terminal . He made our trip easier and being helpful to assist us as we arrived almost 2hours early and were supposed to report to their colleague at the Arrival Hall while there's Dimas who came to me at the coffee area during breakfast . I didn't know how to use the coffee machine until he came and help as well as sent it to our table . So thank you , all of you ..! Everything in our room was clean, and they provided two bolsters, which my partner and I were excited about since we usually fight over them at night. 😂 The resort has three different pools to enjoy and plenty of activities! If you like a quiet place, as I do, this is the perfect spot. It’s far from the busy roads, so you might experience some inconvenience when trying to get to the mall and other places.
However, there were a few things I didn’t enjoy. First, the breakfast buffet was disappointing—the choices were very limited, and the food was often too salty or undercooked. Secondly, I was quite upset about an experience at the bar. The food we ordered wasn’t sent to the kitchen, which resulted in us waiting over an hour (and the bar wasn’t even packed). The staff was apologetic but dishonest. Our friend had already paid for the meal, but when I canceled the order, they didn’t inform me it was already paid for until my friend returned from her activity and told me. We then had to go over and request a refund, which was unpleasant. Also, their food choices run out quickly. We were there right when they opened, and the majority of their menu was already sold out—we were only the fourth or fifth customers to order.
Another issue involved a fellow guest I met. She had booked a room for two adults and one child, but they were only given two towels and two sets of toiletries. When she asked for an additional sets, the staff told her that the child and mother should share one, and if they needed another set, they would have to pay for it. This was quite unreasonable, especially considering they had paid for three people, and hygiene should have been taken into consideration.

I don't know what to say, because one or two paragraphs wouldn't be enough to describe how grateful I am to work with Harris Resort Barelang. This year my organization needs to conduct a series of training and this hotel is the nearest to the training location. We have worked together with HRBL for several months now, they are very accommodating and responsive, and whatever we ask they can manage to provide it. I feel like going home whenever I came to Batam and staying there, I stayed there for weeks in every month.
Special thanks to Mba Sofia (Sales Manager), if I can give someone the best Sales I would nominate Ms. Sofia for this category. She has been through some ups and down with us during this event management because this training is not usual training. She also managed the opening ceremony very well despite the demanding from the officials.
