Nice Hotel, well located in the center of the town. Nice room but without air conditioning, being the room on side of sun in the afternoon, the internal temperature was not comfortable. Very nice and friendly staff.

Verylovely hotel, well located in the centre of the town Easy to find and park. Large choice of meals at breakfast (breads, cheese, ...). We were there for business but we think to come back and visit the town.

Stayed at Nibelungen Hotel, quaint hotel. Enjoyed our stay, but there was no airconditoning in the rooms which made sleeping very difficult. If you left the window open you had pigeons outside your window all night and the town clock chiming. TV had no signal for the English channel to catch up on news. The town is beautiful.

Lovely small hotel in the heart of this beautiful old German town, a stones throw from the market square and cathedral. Nice rooms, a little on the basic side but very well priced, very clean and tidy with friendly staff and a good selection of food at breakfast.

The staff couldn't have been nicer. The hotel was spotless and everything was how we would have liked. Breakfast was great with loads of choice. Room was perfect thank you. A real gem in a beautiful town. Xanten is well worth a visit.

Another good stay in thus hotel. Road race going on when we arrived so all entries to the hotel blocked off. Staff helpful as ever - and we love the breakfast - continental but varied and delicious (best egg mayo ever!) Bed comfortable, simple but comfortable - nice size - we had two dogs with us. For a 'basic' hotel... More

Have stayed at the Nibelungen Hof a number of times now and stayed again in early May. Yet again the staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast very good and the price is very reasonable. The property is ideally placed by just being off the main square so all restaurants within easy walking distance. Would recommend.

We stayed here for a couple of days to visit Xanten and the area. The car park was tiny , but the hotel is nice, clean and reasonable price. The rooms were fair size and bed was comfy - we had two dogs with us -so the room may have been slightly larger than the rest. Breakfast was in the... More

I find that German hotels are amongst some of the best in the world for cleanliness, and this one is no exception. Germany is one of the few countries where budget accommodation doesn't need to be bad accommodation. I stayed in room 16 and it was clean and functional. The drains were a bit smelly, but this seems to be... More
