Just read the reviews and really dont understand some of the comments. OK there isnt a lift but in such an old building this should be expected and yes Mittelstadt doesnt have a lot to offer although again this is normal if you stay in a village based location.. The check in was friendly, quick, efficient and available in both...

I had the misfortune to stay at this hotel for 2 really bad nights. I took a single bed room with a sofa bed, and I must say, if you're tall, and even slightly overweight, you'll have problems. The shower: too small for the average person, to fit in comfortably There are too many stairs: reception is one the second...

As a partly disabled person I had no help from the manager by transporting my luggage. The manager asked for cash in advance, proposed stay for two nights and as expected their card machine for EC-cards did not work, said it was out for repair. (it's easier to shunt taxes for the proprietor with cash). The room is wide and...

This hotel is a nice place to stay, however please not the following before you book 1. There is not much around the hotel. Very limited shops and transport to other towns or train stations. Beware of taxis too. I had to order a taxi each time to take me to my workplace. The taxis charged me for the distance...

It is old, and there is a lot of stairs to climb. The room is spacious with clean bed but it is old. Everything is worn out. Breakfast was very dissappointing too as it starts very early 6 - 9am, hubby went down by 8am, there wasn't much left. The other guest ate up all the sausages and eggs; and...

Remarkably comfortable bed for a German hotel, most are like sleeping on concrete, so well done to Klostermuhle, just need some proper pillows but it was a nice big airy room, one of the nicer places I've stayed in Germany. Just be aware that you appear to be able to pay by card, but in fact this is only accepted...

We stayed a night on the way to France. Very charming old mill with the pond and all. Nice walks in the quiet surroundings. The dog was welcomed in the restaurant where we had a nice dinner and a buffet breakfast. Perhaps not the greatest gourmet place but good value for the money. The rooms where clean, comfortable and newly...

Our son just got back from a 15 month tour in Iraq and is stationed in Germany, Since he had some time off for leave. My husband and I decided to take our vacation to Germany to see him back from Iraq and to enjoy what Germany had to offer with him, since he did not have any time in...

“Room No 3 has a view of the river Neckar.”

“Our room had a lovely view of the Neckar River. If you have trouble with stairs I'd ask for a lower floor. Be warned that the church bells are VERY loud and are rung frequently. I loved the sound but another traveler might be bothered by them.”

“I liked the rooms overlooking the water, some reviewers actually complain about being able to hear the river & waterfall, but I liked that.”
