Of all of our hotel stays in Germany, this was one of our favorites: 1) Staff were very friendly and accommodating here. They did not seem standoffish or bitter towards English-speaking visitors like many other hotels and restaurants in Germany seemed to be. They seemed genuinely friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. 2) Location is excellent for getting around the old-town of...

This small hotel has a good location along the Mosel. Rooms are basic and modern. River view is good. The castle, restaurants and shopping are within walking distance. Parking is a little odd. If you park close, you have to feed a meter until nighttime. Basic services. Breakfast was good.

Our room was just fine - a family room, not terribly large but with a bed and a fold out sofa bed for our two small children. All the staff are just delightful and the breakfast was lovely. We could see the castle from our room. There are steps up into the hotel (you enter through the cafe, which could...

We stayed here for two nights in September and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great room with four poster bed. Totally unexpected. And great view. Couldn't fault the hotel. Breakfasts great as well with a glass of bubbly to get the day off to a great start. Hotels own wine from their local vineyard is a real treat not to be missed....

We had a room on the back side away from the river. This was probably more quiet. We had 2 windows (it seemed some others would have only one). Hot, little air flow, no fan. The large, lit cross upon the hill beyond was unusual. The shower was tiny but comfortable but the towels are rough. The lemon soap was...

We're fairly regular visitors to Cochem due to proximity to the Nurburgring, and last stayed in this hotel back in 2008. We were able to book "Classic Double Room with Balcony" in advance this time. The hotel is located above a bustling cake shop, which closes quite early in the evening, so noise is not an issue. The hotel is...

We stayed in this beautiful town with the family in July 2016. Hotel Germania is charming hotel in the middle of town. Rooms are spacious and the hotel is modern. A great stay and this is a place we would like to come back to.

Also a lovely bustling town. Room 301 has a small balcony with table and 2 chairs , well worth the upgrade, overlooks the Moselle river, great to sit in the warmth and watch all the activities . Could be a bit noisy with delivery vans early morning. The hotel served a very good breakfast included in the price, but the...

Cochem is a beautiful charming village on the Mosel river. We arrived via train and walked down to the Hotel Germania, about a 10 minute walk over cobblestones. The hotel is right next to a bridge that crosses to the other side of Cochem, and right at the beginning of the Moselpromenade, a beautiful stretch of river walk. The location...

My daughter and I stayed one night at Hotel Germania in Cochem, originally scheduled after an up-river boat trip on the Mosel. It is conveniently located across the street from the ferry landings. Although the locks were closed on the river when we were there (early June), and we had to take the train, the hotel was still within walking...
