We ate at the Restaurant "da Stefano" which is the Hotel Restaurant open to outside guests also. The place is fairly small, pleasant, tables well set. The kitchen is varied and not only Italian despite the name, although it includes pizza and many Italian dishes. Not overly expensive by local standards.

This is a very old classic Swiss style Hotel. It reminded me of my childhood. The wooden floors, persian carpets and the lavabo in the room. It does have charisma. The rooms are well kept. Breakfast was very basic but for us alright. The price was fair. The staff were friendly. The located is perfect.

An old hotel which has been refurbished cheaply and bad quality. On arrival there was a lot of ice at the entrance to the hotel and restaurant which had not been sanded or salted, and was extremely slippery. The entrance stank of old cigarettes. Greetings rather cold upon arrival. The 2 rooms we rented were small, no room to open...

We made the mistake of having a meal here. The town was very quiet now out of season so this seemed the best bet. A sandwich from a service station would have been better. I should have seen the warning signs when we arrived. The restaurant was empty and the waiter was reading the paper. The food is second or...

Paper thin walls so bring your earplugs. Wifi slow if the stars align but mostly not working at all. Staff not friendly. No parking. I should have paid a bit more for something slightly more bare able, ohh well!

The hotel is all made of wood and is very traditional and old fashioned, so if you like this kind of atmosphere it is a perfect place. The place is a bit noisy (because of all wooden walls and floors) and room was very simple, but cosy. Service was nice and friendly.

The hotel is near the center of town and very quaint and picturesque. The rooms were clean and accommodating and the food in the hotel restaurant was great. The staff was very friendly. We stayed here on a motorcycle trip and would definitely stay here again. A good value.

We came for a cheese fondue in a typically swiss ambience. We were not disappointed and had a thoroughly enjoyable if costly evening. My wife and I shared a very pleasant Fendant, a light fruity Swiss wine to which we have developed a taste over the years. at CHF 38.50 it was not repeated! Fr 10.50 for a large sparkling...

Beware!! NO elevators! I visited while on an EF Tour with a large group. So I cannot say how much the rooms cost or if they were a good value. I can say that this is a good location. We did a lot of walking around the town and up the hill behind the hotel. Most of the shops and...

On Christmas Day we took the route of the Glacier Express from Brig to Andermatt with snow falling and Andermatt main street covered in snow. The Hotel Schweizerhof proved to be the perfect resting place for lunch with an excellent cheese fondue. The cheese melted with wine and lots of bread made for an unusual Christmas meal for two travelers...
