We stayed here for one night prior to getting the Glacier Express. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff very friendly. The area around it was quiet with plenty of places to eat an evening meal. We opted to have the breakfast which was a standard continental breakfast - bread, cheese, meat, fruit, cereal, coffee. All well presented....

Stayed 1 nights there, stroll around the surrounding local shops. Beatiful mountain view seen from my window room. Quiet and peaceful in the area, afternoon walking around the village and visited historic places.

The hotel is across the road from the train station, so is certainly convenient. The room was clean. And that's about it! We found the stairs at the front of the hotel (no ramp) very difficult to negotiate with suitcases, and quite high even when just stepping up and down. The room was quite large, with bare wooden floors. The...

Brig, in the Swiss Valais and which Rick Steves brusquely dismisses as an "ugly industrial town," (there are worse, believe me!) is an important rail junction and a great jumping-off place for passenger rail buffs which was what attracted me there. Similarly, the Hotel Europe is just steps from the Bahnhof with main line and regional SBB trains plus Matterhorn...

A small and centally located hotel in the little town of Brig in the swiss alps. We got here after a nerve racking trip on the Simplon train from Italy with the car on an open train carriage trough the mountain. The hotel was soothing on the nerves with good beds, a well stocked bathroom-we had cosy rooms next to...

This is a good hotel to stay at in Brig. Right across the train station. Compared to all the hotels in Brig, I chose this because it was more affordable (as everything in Switzerland are expensive) and the location was excellent. Stayed in a triple room. No aircon but it was no issue since we actually used the heater. The...

The hotel was clean and the beds comfortable. Staff were not very friendly but the breakfast was wonderful. It was close to the railway station so easy to get to but i would have preferred a more welcoming place.

A view of the mountains, short walk to the train station, good breakfast and great hosts. What else could you ask for. Spent two nights here in June 2016 and enjoyed the hotel and Brig. Operated by three very friendly and helpful ladies. Varied selection for breakfast with nice assistance from one of the hosts.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights. The staff members were extremely friendly and informative. The room was clean and basic. Breakfast was adequate, no cooked food, but some lovely locally cooked fresh breads were appreciated. This hotel is very close to the MGB station at street level for trains to Zermatt, Visp, Andermatt and the BLS/SBB main line...

We stayed here for 4 nights in March. The hotel is adjacent to the Brig train station so if you are arriving by train, it is VERY convenient. Chances are, you will also be visiting all the nearby attractions by train, so the proximity is a huge plus. The hotel owners are very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is...
