This is my first visit to Saas Fee and I primarily came for the hiking. As the summer is considered slow season, I was able to book a room at the Sunstar through the Armed Forces Vacation Club (AFVC) at a ridiculously low price for this area of Switzerland. I booked for a single (solo traveler) but was upgraded to...

Centrally positioned in Saas Fee, this is a great hotel, with friendly helpful staff, wonderful interesting food with lots of choices on each course. Although one of the first hotels built in Saas Fee the interior is a mixture of traditional Swiss decor but with modern features in the bathrooms etc. We have stayed in a few Sunstar hotels and...

A 4**** star hotel run by Sunstar with hosts as friendly as if they were the owner. Hotel is one of the three oldest of Saas Fee but gently modernised, thus it's kept its vintage charm. It offers various types of rooms ranging from rather standard to nicely decorated ones. Especially the family suites are spacious (two en-suite bathrooms) and...

This is was our second visit to the Beau-Site Saas Fee (first in April 2012) and the standards were the same - superb! It is rare these days to find boutique hotels that offer excellent food, lovely large bedrooms and are located in a building with character. The staff are very efficient without being overbearing and will attend to all...

Often we forget it is the little things that make a trip special. Sitting by a fire, putting your feet up, reading a good book and something nice to drink at the end of the day. This hotel does this to perfection! New Year's Eve was a very nice evening starting with music by the fireplace, drinks and appetizers followed...

I had called around just before leaving for Switzerland and found out that very little snow was on the ground for our ski holiday. Very nice hotel in Saas Fee. Staff is very polite, friendly and helpful. However watch out for the current manager, this guy has no place in hospitality, and he is unfortunately the reason why this hotel doesn't get 5 stars.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Sunstar Boutique Hotel Beau-Site Saas-Fee is in the centre of this car-free glacier village, set amid wonderful mountain scenery. The historic features of the hotel blend harmoniously with its elegant décor and modern conveniences. The rooms are spacious and luxuriously fitted out, and no two are the same. All rooms have been tastefully decorated using local timbers, fine fabrics and top-quality materials. Those in certain categories have a balcony. A friendly and attentive team of staff provides hospitality with a personal touch. Gourmets are treated to speciality dishes in the homely "La Ferme" restaurant and in the "Fee Chäller". The stylish lounge with its open fireplace is an inviting place to round off the day in good company. For soothing relaxation, there is also a small but smart spa centre, with indoor pool, sauna, thermal baths and massage treatments. Saas-Fee and the surrounding area offer numerous opportunities for excursions and adventure for all the family. ... more   less
