Travellers' Choice
Family run hotel and hospitality, modern comfort, delightful Swiss and International cuisine as well as different well feeling and health offers. The hotel is located on the sunny side of Lake Lucerne - "Riviera of Central Switzerland", with a wonderful view of the mountains and the lake. On account of the extremely mild climate Weggis is also called the "Rose village" where palm trees, figs, chestnuts and even kiwi grow. Your holiday dream awaits you. Doing nothing, enjoying life, getting active or whatever you wish. The philosophy of our hotel is: "We welcome you as a guest but you leave us as a friend."

Lovely location with stunning views and a great heated outdoor pool. Great to go with kids as the pool is open for kids (no special hours). They is a playground behind the hotel and a small one with a trampoline at the adjoining hotel. We had the family suite - it was a very good size with two bathrooms and enough room for us all. It is a bit dated especially the bathrooms. Service is very mixed especially in the restaurant. Waitresses were in general great. Unfortunately our waiter was fairly rude and inefficient. The unfriendly service plus the older rooms mean that despite the location we wouldn’t recommend it.

We spent 7 nights at this truly 4 star Hotel and enjoyed it very much. The view from the nicely appointed room over the lake is lovely. The restauramnt staff very friendly and helpful and nothing to criticize about the food! We will come again - which says it all.

Our room was not at all as shown on the hotel site pictures. It was not renovated, very small, with stained old carpet, walls and even ceiling were in stains and if the balcony door is closed it smells old. Bathroom is very small and we had no soap to start with. Had to ask twice for it. View to the lake would be good, but there is a construction going on and a huge crane is parked in front (not the hotel’s fault but it does ruin it). The pool area is nice but shared with another hotel so not many sun chairs . Hotel is not actually on the lake but across the road from it. There is a tiny place that belongs to hotel near the lake where there are literally 9 sunchairs squeezed in. It is also shared with another hotel so don’t count on sitting there. Pictures of this Lido on the website seem to be enlarged severely. The hotel is ok but not as advertised and for me was not worth the price paid.

A lovely hotel with good sized rooms. The room was clean and functional. Stunning lake view to wake up to! Check-in was very efficient. Lively bar area with good service. I recommended this hotel - all round good!

We stayed in the hotel for 4 nights in a family suite, combining two rooms, which were great for the 4 of us. The bigger room had a great balcony, directly facing the lake. The other one faced back, but was great as well. Pity that we could separate the double bed only in the first room, so our kids were to enjoy it. Very clean, adequately maintained. A tea and coffee station on each floor, in addition to a very good breakfast. Hot and cold, including omelets cooked for you. The weather was nice, so we ate outdoors. There is a spa with indoor and outdoor pools, highly appreciated by our children. The whole town is a bit off the road. It's not a real issue, but the highway exit might be jammed and easy to miss during rush hours. The hotel parking is limited and might easily become an issue when there is an event in the hotel restaurant. The alternatives are down a steep hill, not really convenient. The place is not cheap, like everything in Switzerland, but provides a great value for money.
