Travellers' Choice
Our Hotel is situated in the very heart of Adelboden (3 minutes walking distance to the cable car): we offer very silent and comfortable rooms, a warm familiar ambiance and a fantastic Wellness-Area with jacuzzis, steambath, Finnish sauna, biosauna and solarium - a pleasure for young and old! Hotel restaurant in a relaxed, solid atmosphere, where we do our best to spoil our guests. Have a drink at our bar or in front of the warming fireplace in our elegant hotel lobby.

I would highly recommend this hotel. I booked a special package at the Bristol as a birthday present for my wife. She was very happy with the present - we had a good sized south facing room with a comfortable double bed and a sofa plus cable TV (though we didn't watch anything!). The package included 3 course meal (vegetarian option available). The hotel also has a small spa with steam room, couple of saunas and a relaxation area (Covid-19 restriction of 5 people at a time). The staff were super friendly and helpful - special mention to Anke for her tips and suggestions for what we could do and her general caring attitude. There are lots of hikes that one could do in the area - we wish we had spent a few more days. So there'll definitely be another visit to the Bristol!

I was always curious of Adelboden, and had a short stay in the midst of the corona crisis, and it was admirable that this hotel welcomed guests with minimal staffing. We were not the only guests during that weekend, and measures taken were appropriate: + Excellent, individually prepared breakfast tables + Dinner offered + Massage quite good + Staff managing the restaurant and cleaning friendly and competent + A view of the Adelboden mountains + Parking space available (but not for free) - Hotel is mature; meeting standards but would profit from a renovation to entice visitors to come back - Mattress could be replaced; had slight issues/discomfort after a night's sleep - Massage location and ambiance can be improved, especially the bed you climb onto (too high) - Dinner menu could be improved, but this was understandably so, given the situation. Thankful enough that they served dinner The hotel also had a spa, but given the circumstances, I didn't visit it. It could be a reason for guests to opt for a stay in this hotel at a reasonable price.

Had the pleasure of working with Frederic on reservation changes due to the covid-19 pandemic. He was an absolute joy to work with, and was able to accommodate the changes needed to my reservation. I really appreciate hoteliers like Bristol who are truly customer focused!

We stayed here during our visit to Interlaken with the primary intent to visit Jungfrau. The hotel is great has a very vintage vibe to it. Service was friendly and rooms were clean. Our booking was also inclusive of breakfast and their breakfast spread was also good - eggs, crosissants, yoghurt, cereal and beverages. A major consideration though here would be the intent of your trip. Since we were primarily there to visit Jungfrau, staying in Adelbodeen added an hour to our commute one way everytime we wanted to go to Interlarken. It felt unnecessary to drive this extra distance when you have good options in Interlarken, Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald. Especially if you are going to take the Swiss travel pass, you might want to factor in distance to the train station. We opted for this option because we had a car and this was very well priced compared to any other options in Interlaken. This is not a con of the hotel. Our stay was comfortable and I would recommend this place.
