We watched 40cm of snow fall overnight outside this nice Swiss hotel. The perfect entree to our stay in Switzerland. A charming village with breathtaking peaks all around, and a gorgeous lake for those visiting in Summer. We happened to be there on December 25, a night on which the hotel was visited by a number of traditionally dressed male...

From the super warm welcome and continuously excellent, genial service, in the heart of Switzerland, surrounded by beautiful mountains, to the excellent, constantly varied cuisine, we had a fantastic time at Hotel Alpha Soleil. We chose Kandersteg for cross-country skiing. Unfortunately for us, there was no snow in the village. Undaunted by this, the "authorities" constructed a strip of snow...

I rarely do reviews, but we enjoyed our stay at Alfa Soleil very, very much, We were greeted by a charming young man who checked us in, showed us area attractions on the local map, and accompanied us to our room. Our two room suite was excellent, like new, and had a beautiful view of the local mountains and the...

Excellent family run Hotel, good food, attentive staff especially Daniel a 1st class Manager. What a pity about room 42, it must have one of the worst bathrooms in Switzerland. When you open the room door you look straight to the toilet, there is no bathroom door! If you are over 5' 9'' you hit your head on the sloping...

Friendly and multilingual staff was gracious and accomodating with a personal tour of the hotel, recommendations on dining, discount gondolla tickets, and lots ofinsight into activites. Throughout our stay the staff was consistently friendly and curious about how they could help us enjoy our time in Kandersteg. It helped make our experience much more memorable - thanks for the effort!...

A very warm welcome. Good clean room with great views. The meals in the restaurant were first class served by attentive and interested staff. Helpful advice so that we could get the best of the area. I would definitely stay again.

We stayed in a Superior room as part of a week long self guided walking holiday with Headwater (excellent!). From the moment we arrived such a lovely welcome from Daniel and all staff. For a 3 star hotel the room was very comfy with a great view, the breakfasts good (no hot food), and the included dinners FANTASTIC. Special mention...

My wife and I stayed here for one week this summer with our 11 year's old son. Very spacious room with extra bed and nice balcony with mountainview. Every morning very good breakfast. Free summercard included use of all lifts in Kandersteg and Adelboden and bus to Adelboden. Small swimmingpool in the hotel, but our son loved it. Very friendly...
