Good Points: 1. Basic hotel in a good central location. Bad Points: 1. The room was down the corridor from the kitchen. The hotel therefore stank of burning cheese. 2. They dont make the beds unless you strip the bed yourself for them 3. Dont clean the room except empty whatever you put in the bin. EXCEPT when you dont...

We stayed here with the Ski Club of Great Britain, with a group of 12 for 6 nights.Very easy to reach from Geneva airport in two and a half hour by train, with the last hour the most scenic trainride you can imagine. The location of the Auberge is the best, short walk from the station in the middle of town near shops...

We just arrived back from a very pleasant stay at the Auberge de la Poste. We had a typical small wooden bedroom that is common in hotels of that period. It was very cosy and a real pleasure to fall asleep listening to the flow of the river. The staff were most helpful and very friendly. Dining in the restaurant...

After taking the little mountain train from Aigle, which winds itself gently up the mountain to the delightful village of les Diablerets, you walk for a short distance from the station and you come upon the lovely Auberge de la Poste. The accommodation was delightful, clean and fresh, all contained within a traditional Swiss chalet. The restauarant, although not cheap...

Central located this small hotel is perfect for an short stay; everything is tiny - the rooms - the bathroom, but you get a warm welcome and an excellent food in the restaurant. Out of the season there is nothing spcial to do in Les Diablerets - even your TV Set has only 2 local channels. Godd time to enjoy,...

We stayed at the Auberge de la Poste from 1/3 to 4/3/2010 inclusive. This was during a ski trip to Les Diablerets. The accommodation was superb, friendly and the food good. The restaurant is equally good. This was my second time staying at the Auberge de la Poste. To quote Arnold Schwarzenegger "I'll be back".

We stayed here for one night with three small children. We had been warned that it may be a bit posh with the kids as the restaurant is one of the best in the village but the staff were so welcoming. We took 2 rooms as the family room was advertised as only taking one extra child's bed. Our rooms...

Les Diablerets is a compact mountain village. As a gateway to ski resorts, there are plenty of hotels. But most of them are modern, concrete buildings. This one, by contrast, is build inside a traditional wooden house. Rooms are wide (we occupied two of them), some of them enough for a family of four. We loved all the room and...

I've always wanted to stay in a proverbial "post hotel" and thought this would be a good opportunity to try one out. Unfortunately this hotel, while having a lovely outdoor cafe and restaurant, does not boast the most comfortable of rooms. We decided to "upgrade" to a room with a balcony -- only to discover that we could hardly sit...

“This is a compact country inn, so expect the rooms to be small and apart from that if you have got big cases ask to use the side stairs as it is a little wider and makes lugging the bags around easier.”

“This is a typical small Post Hotel, so expect the rooms to be small with limited space of luggage. There is a steep narrow staircase up to the rooms, so it may not be suitable for persons with mobility issues or very large suitcases.”
