This is a reasonably priced lodge. There are few frills - the accommodation is clean and comfortable but basic. Air-conditioned, and if you can locate the controller (ours was missing) you can turn off the LEDS). Wifi is available at the recption/restaurant/bar but you will be lucky to get a signal in your room. The food is standard Costa Rica...

I don't understand the positive reviews. Yes the rooms are spacious and attractive but it is as if someone has gone out of their way to make the stay as uncomfortable as possible. You arrive and have to carry your luggage as the paths to the rooms have a gravel surface not suitable for luggage wheels. The furniture in our...

This very basic hotel is charmingly designed to resemble the tribal huts of the Costa Rican ancestors. The central dining area is clean and spacious with open walls to the wildlife and free WiFi access. The staff are helpful and friendly although only on site until 10pm when the gate is left to the security guard. The restaurant serves basic...

Our room was spacious, exotic, too dark to read (and there was no comfortable chair), clean, without dresser or closet storage and a walk to the lodge. It felt like an old times hunting lodge, complete with the doors to an outside veranda circling a number of rooms covered with a thatched roof. The bar in the lodge had almost...

We arrived on 28 Dec '16 to a warm welcome by reception and our Deluxe room set in a lodge cabana was very nice and spacious. Had all amenities and a powerful shower. Due to the rain we did not venture out in the evening and took dinner in the lodge restaurant, which was very nice. We did walk around...

Nice hotel. We had a good room which was spacious enough. The breakfast was good. The hotel grounds have a nice small botanical garden section for a short hike. Same with a section with ancient graves and such. Next door is Tirimbina forrest where we had a few nice hikes.

Great rooms, slightly springy beds. Grounds we're excellent, beautiful small pool. Best dining hall I've seen, delicious food. I used this as a base for birding, but proximity to toss and rafting make this a great place for anyone exploring the Caribbean slope

One night stay at this beautiful lodge, where we loved the rooms, swimming pool and gardens. The rooms have everything you need - this is a lodge, not trying to be a hotel, so we were very happy not to have TV etc in the room. Traditional style buildings, bar, restaurant all beautifully kept. Good food and very friendly, helpful...

It was definitely a true Costa Rica experience. The grounds were lovely. The rooms were large with porches. I would lock up any valuables however. We used mosquito nets we brought along. It is the rainforest and there are bugs and mosquitos. The bats flying around the outside of the rooms were trying to help though. The food was very...

The room was clean, neat but a bit spare. No kleenex, coffee maker, and if it matters, no television, and no wash cloths. Not a big deal but noticeable. The grounds and pool, restaurant were all lovely. The employees friendly and willing to help.
