Lovely quiet place surrounded by rain forest. Top level surface with restaurant and bar. The architecture blends with its environment. Great coffee for a quiet afternoon. Amazing archaeological walk. Very well maintained.

The rooms are basic but have all you need, clean beds, a few hooks for clothes and a good water supply in the bathroom. The meals are all buffet style and there is always a choice. The swimming pool is great and there are many birds to be seen in the gardens

As the others stated, the rooms are quite far from the lobby and restaurant and the walks aren't lighted all that well, but if you use the light on your cell phone, you can see well enough. Some of the room photos look as if the lighting would be inadequate for reading in bed. A reading light has been added...

This was the last stop on our 14 day tour trough CR. We stayed three nights in this Lodge set back from the busy road and it was very quiet. It reminded us of Southern Africa with its rondavels and high ceilings. The design keeps the rooms cool as we found out. Our room did not have AC as I...

A wonderfull lodge with an exeptionnal view to the rainforest. It's really great ! (we enjoy the birds tour with Michaël @ Tirimbina). The botanical garden is a good spot for birds watchers. Pool is so special too ! We like this place !

This is a reasonably priced lodge. There are few frills - the accommodation is clean and comfortable but basic. Air-conditioned, and if you can locate the controller (ours was missing) you can turn off the LEDS). Wifi is available at the recption/restaurant/bar but you will be lucky to get a signal in your room. The food is standard Costa Rica...

I don't understand the positive reviews. Yes the rooms are spacious and attractive but it is as if someone has gone out of their way to make the stay as uncomfortable as possible. You arrive and have to carry your luggage as the paths to the rooms have a gravel surface not suitable for luggage wheels. The furniture in our...

This very basic hotel is charmingly designed to resemble the tribal huts of the Costa Rican ancestors. The central dining area is clean and spacious with open walls to the wildlife and free WiFi access. The staff are helpful and friendly although only on site until 10pm when the gate is left to the security guard. The restaurant serves basic...

Our room was spacious, exotic, too dark to read (and there was no comfortable chair), clean, without dresser or closet storage and a walk to the lodge. It felt like an old times hunting lodge, complete with the doors to an outside veranda circling a number of rooms covered with a thatched roof. The bar in the lodge had almost...

We arrived on 28 Dec '16 to a warm welcome by reception and our Deluxe room set in a lodge cabana was very nice and spacious. Had all amenities and a powerful shower. Due to the rain we did not venture out in the evening and took dinner in the lodge restaurant, which was very nice. We did walk around...
