Tico Rainforest B&B, formerly known as Casa Araya B&B, tries, with considerable success, to portray what the name of the B&B suggests. Set on a large three acre property, adjacent to Rio Puerto Viejo, it has a great variety of flora and fauna native to Costa Rica. Victor, the owner, is a great source of knowledge of the flora and...

I stayed at Casa Araya B&B in January 2016. Loved it. I had originally planned to stay at La Selva Biological Station in the visitor's quarters (I was visiting a friend working at La Selva) but they were booked up. La Selva recommended Hotel El Bambu in the nearest town, Puerto Viejo de Sarapiqui, but I found Casa Araya online...

We stayed three nights with Victor in his lovely Casa located in the jungle and on the edge of a river. The birds around the Casa were really plentiful and beautiful. Breakfast was great and Victor gave us a few recommendations which we enjoyed. We would definitely stay again with Victor.

A very nice place for people who love the nature. It is quiet and peaceful. Despite the house is great, the rooms are big, clean and there's a big balcony, there is a very nice garden, where you can spot different birds, sloths and may see and hear the monkeys and in the near river I spotted a turtle.
