First visit while on a short holiday in the area. Great beer, lovely food, very friendly and welcoming and the landlord even gave us a lift back to our campsite. Couldn't ask for any better than that!

we had lunch here on Saturday 5th November on a recommendation and thought is a good place to eat. The service was very good and the staff friendly. Good value for money too. Good variety of food including vegetarian option.

Having recently moved to the area we have already used this pub for Sunday Lunch on three occasions and each time it has been very good. We thought we would therefore, extol its virtues and take members of the family for an early dinner on Monday. It really started to go horribly wrong when having perused the menu we were...

The Chef managed to accommodate our table of 20 at short notice on a busy bank holiday and his birthday! The food was lovely, I was amazed by the kids food, which like everything else was all fresh produce and not an after thought! The staff very friendly and helpful, thanks for a very good meal!

This pub has extended its dining room to the extent it doesn't cope well. The pub still looks quite scruffy outside and has a rubbish, cramped car park. There are often random work vans taking up needed spaces. The area is a great tourist area but I felt that the local customers were more important.

Firstly, many thanks for choosing The White Hart. I would like to reassure you that every customer is important to us, whether they are local or not. In fact one of the great things about our establishment is that we have a superb group of regulars and locals who are more than likely to embark in conversation with our guests,...

We spent two nights at the White Hart when visiting Kent and had a wonderful stay. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, food (we only had breakfast, full English) and drink were good and the room was pleasant and clean. What struck us most was the charm and character of The White Hart. The inn has retained a lot...

This is the second time we have stayed here and this time was a poor experience. I need to be clear that as a pub/eatery was fine (well, kinda) On arrival the guy behind the bar wasn't expecting us and had to make a call, so we didn't feel very welcome at all. On being taken to our room the...

Sad to read such a poor review. As it was your second visit I am sure I do not need to say that we are very well known for our friendly hospitality and we would never wish for our customers to feel unwelcome. Room 6 is smaller than Room 1, but still a comfortable double ensuite and we have guests...

This great little pub saved us when our friends new inflatable tent didn't erect itself and let us book a room and have a couple of pints in the bar very late on a Friday night! Room was small but comfy and the breakfast was superb! Lovely staff, good banter, nice Chapel Down beer on tap and a little games...

My friend and I spent one night at the White Hart for a girly weekend away. It is in a great location (we went to Bodiam Castle on one day and then Scotney Castle on another). We had a lovely stay and were made to feel immediately welcome. The room was clean, tidy and comfortable. We didn't have dinner there,...

If someone were to look up " English Pub" on Wikipedia the answer should be "The White Hart" Newenden. A great selection of beers, Friendly locals and great food. A pub with character and characters.
