My boyfriend an I stayed here during our visit to Positano. The staff were so welcoming and the views from our room were incredible, with our own private balcony. It was so peaceful up on the mountains away from the busy town. Only a 30 min bus down to the town, with a stop right outside the b&b. Be sure to ask the staff to bring your luggage up in the lift, rather than haul them up 100 steps! The breakfast is good with great coffee and the staff also helped with making restaurant recommendations and reservations!

We went to this place during the 2017 summer.Upon arriving the owner informed us we had booked 2 rooms which was obviously a mistake (by us) as we are a couple so only needed 1 room. We apologised for our booking mistake but he demanded we pay for both rooms for our full stay. I said "lets be reasonable about this and reach a compromise - as it was a genuine booking mistake. He would not budge or compromise on anything so we had to pay for 2 rooms for our entire stay. It ruined our whole Amalfi Coast experience as well as costing us a lot of extra money. His staff was lovely to us but his behaviour was poor. Geoff

Nice place to stay. Nice and friendly staff. Lovely owners and a lovely neighbour. We enjoyed a home cooked meal by the owner. Very very good. We enjoyed the walk to Positano but always glad to leave the hussel behind and retreat back up the mountain.

We stayed in this B&B during our visit to the coast. The place is up on the mountain above Positano. It takes approximately 30 mins to get up there by bus from Positano. Bus stop is nearby the accommodation. (3rd stop) bus comes and goes almost every hour. The view is spectacular from the place. Service is good and friendly indeed not all staff speaks fluent english. Our room was big and comfortable. Only the wifi did not work during our stay, which didn’t get fixed and the shower cabin was small. The breakfast was ok with cold cuts, croissants and fruits. There are a few good restaurants in walking distance. Hiking routes are nearby including path of the gods, which is marvellous. Prices are more friendly than the ones in Positano. Overall we recommend this place.

“The location is perfect - away from the tourists madness of Positano, but still just a local bus ride away. Views to die for of the beautiful Amalfi Coast. Our room had it’s own private patio overlooking the water, equipped kitchen, spacious bedroom with comfortable bed and plenty of hanging space for clothes, private bathroom. Great continental breakfast each morning on the main patio that again overlooks the Mediterranean. The owner has thought of everything, from cold drinks in the fridge to advice re the local attractions. When you get off the bus, there are 100 steps up to the BNB but it really is worth the effort and the owner will be there to greet you with a cool drink and friendly smile. There are great restaurants within walking distance. If you’re visiting Positano, this is the place to stay!”

wonderful service. Exquisite views. Amazing breakfasts. Great to be close to Positano. Loved my entire stay. Beautiful gardens and homemade breakfasts made from fruits picked from their garden. Very comfortable room with great balcony. Many steps down to main Positano which I walked every day. You can take the local bus down to Positano shopping area and beach. Charming charming charming. Can't wait to go back

What a great place, we were so glad that we booked Le Ghiande and our concerns that being a short bus trip out of Positano would be a downside were soon forgotten, if anything it made it an even better place to stay. Our room was large and very comfortable and the private balcony was perfect to sit out on at any time of the day. The owners were so helpful and friendly and it was wonderful to be greeted with coffee and cake on our arrival. The breakfast was good and we the two evening meals we had at Le Ghiande which were delicious. There are other restaurants a very short way from the hotel so there is no need to go down into Positano at all. Would love to return one day

Le Ghiande was absolutely perfect. Nestled in the mountainous Amalfi Coast in Montepertuso, this B&B is very close to Positano (a bus that only costs 1.80 euro picks up and drops off right outside of B&B entrance and goes straight into the heart of Positano). We were greeted by Regina whom was absolutely lovely. I believe this place is a family business, and all others who assisted us during our stay were just as kind and generous. In very short walking distance, this B&B is near a handful of phenomenal restaurants (I recommend La Terra). I actually think that the food in Montepertuso was better than the food I ordered in Positano! One thing to keep in mind however, there are MANY stairs to the gate of the B&B (It's a workout). We personally didn't mind, but if you are elderly or have trouble with stairs, it would probably not be smart to stay here. Otherwise, the view from the terrace is breathtaking, the room was clean and cozy, overall the people behind Le Ghiande made us feel right at home and our stay makes us eager to return. Thank you Le Ghiande!

The long walk up to Le Ghiande is worth it: the welcoming staff and charming gardens make a great first impression. The room was large, with excellent air-conditioning and a very good bed. I cannot fault the cleanliness, nor the provision of linen/ towels, particularly at this price point. The balcony was very sizeable with breathtaking views down into the town and over the harbour. Breakfast is simple but very pleasant, with hot drinks served promptly on arrival. There is very little I would ask that they change about this place - all in all an excellent experience.

Gorgeous place to stay. Good breakfast and great views. I would highly recommend for anyone wanting to chill out and explore the villages for a few days. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone wanting easy access to Positano though, at least not in July. Hundreds of people wait for the hourly bus to come back to montepertuso. A luck 50 or so get on. Its a horrible hot journey, trying to balance stood up o the bus as it veers round corners. It takes half an hour and you'll arrive in Montepertuso hot and sweaty - if you manage to get on the bus. A taxi is an astonishing 35 euros!! There is plenty to say about not bothering - Montepertuso is lovely and has good restaurants. There are great walks around here, or just relax. There is a Jacuzzi at the property (extra charge) and the accommodation is self catering (its like a little flat). They could do with providing more kitchen equipment though (no kitchen knife, chopping board, only one pan).
