between the waterfall shower and the beautifully designed rooms, silver point is far above cheesy Caribbean resorts with floral prints and stale rooms. location definitely calls for a car, but for a boutique hotel, it offers many of the resort amenities with personalized service. the staff are wonderful and very accommodating.

All you could want for a relaxing vacation. Nice rooms with nice bathrooms, a great and usually deserted beach a few steps away, a nice pool, and - the biggest innovation - four-poster beds on the patio. The place was great. It is true that the on-site restaurant is very expensive (although the food is quite good) and that taxis...

We stayed at the hotel last year and had a great 2 weeks in Barbados. The staff were very friendly and kept the drinks flowing.... Very strong drinks which added to the fun. It was quiet when we went but was great as the sunbeds were free to lounge on all day. Food was yummy, especially their lunch menu. I...

Since Little Arches could not accommodate us for another day, we decided to spend our last night at Silver Point per their recommendation. Silver Point is NOT bad. But not spectacular by our standards either. Front desk reception was pleasant upon our arrival but when we had to check out early morning, there was no one there. Luckily, we flagged...

My friend and I stayed at the Silverpoint last week and had a really nice time. The hotel is a 10 minute maxi-taxi ride into town and folks it's only $1.50 versus taking a taxi more expensive. I would save your money and take a taxi at night its safer for female travelers. You can take the maxi taxi #11...

Stayed here for a week in May 2010. The airport was very close by and we took advantage of the offer of a pick up on arrival which cost $25US. On the return trip we opted for the far cheaper cab option $15US. Check in was swift and friendly although not overly so, first impressions of the room were good....

I SO wish I could make this a completely positive review, especially considering how kind I found the staff at the hotel, and how beautiful the location, and how well-appointed the rooms. But I have to be honest and say that I surprised a two-inch cockroach upon moving in; and no sooner had I killed it and shoved it out...

Silver Point is the perfect quiet secluded boutique hotel. We stayed for a week in November and it was by far our favorite vaction ever. The rooms and the resort in general are decorated so simply but beautifully. The private beach is wonderful. The hotel is so small and so many of the people there are there to kite surf...

As others have said, the hotel is off the beaten path, but almost in a good way. We liked having the seclusion and watching the kitesurfers during the day. Partial Ocean View Suites have a mini fridge and coffee maker. Oistins Friday night Fish Festival was fabulous ($25 BD, $12.50 US) for a large amount of food. We rented a...

This was our first time travelling to Barbados and the Caribbean in general. We used a local travel agent, Q Holidays as friends have used them before and recommended them: http://www.qholidays.co.uk/destination_hotel.asp?dID=1&hID=445 We flew from Gatwick, which suited us as it was easy to get to. The hotel itself when we arrived was quite nice - it's medium sized, which means...
