My partner booked us an overnight stay here for my birthday last Wednesday. There is nothing I can fault this hotel on. The bedrooms are gorgeous with the most comfiest bed I have ever slept on. All the staff in the hotel and restaurants are amazing especially Octavian. He served our food for us in the Firepit restaurant and recommended different dishes and cocktails to us. We were looked after very well by all staff throughout our stay and I can't wait to return for another stay for more cocktails and the Korean Cowgirl. Thank you so much!

We had a 2 night stay at the beginning on June This was a stay original booked in June 2020, abs rebooked twice due to lockdown and covid restrictions so we were really excited to get there!! On arrival to the hotel you will there are several parking areas, a staff parking at the beginning another guest car park and then closer to the hotel is a hotel guest car park All get busy, it’s non stop there! The entrance to reception is via automatic doors, into a entrance with long heavy closed drapes and currently an automatic temperature test on the wall Beyond the drapes is reception , we were greeted by the team who we all very friendly and then Lucy checked us in she outshone our whole visit and very friendly welcoming member of staff and a credit to the hotel. Due to the rebooking I was told to mention and a gift would be waiting, which I did but nothing was acknowledged on reception or in the room. Once checked in Lucy showed us to our room, a junior suite room 216 then showed us around. The room It’s just wow like the images online show, the famous fluffy blankets and pillows with a gorgeous crackling fire. The bed was huge, and so comfy the room was separated into 2 areas like a living area which had a sofa desk and mini bar along with tea and coffee facilities. The bar was reasonable and very well stocked, the complimentary tea and coffee had 3 pods for the coffee machine and 2 packets of milk the box did not looked restocked prior to our check in The desk area was well lit, unfortunately this blocks the full length mirror so a little awkward to see Also, as the desk and chair is so close it had rubbed away the frame of the mirror. Each section had a huge 65” tv, the bedroom area had some storage shelves and a small rail with complimentary hangers A hair dryer is included, but no iron but you can just call reception who will bring to your room The bathroom was amazing, a free standing bath that had a huge window next to it and the most dusty blinds Ive seen and then there was a rainfall shower each had complimentary toiletries including hand sanitizer There was also a Double sink unit, there are no plugs you press the silver disk up and down to open and close.. took a while to realise this was why the bath was filling up and sink wouldn’t drain!! There are towels and robes also, all very crinkly like they needed a good press like you’d usually see in a hotel so made the area look a little scruffy Our room had an adjoining door to another not for us, but meant we had a huge Balcony to fit 4 people On day 2 we arrived to our room from our day out to discover our room had not been serviced, we had made the bed in the morning but dirty cups still no new towels and sink area messy We called to reception to explain and asked if we could have some fresh towels, they send a gentleman from house keeping who apologised and then offered to clean whilst we sat on the balcony When we went back in the room our bed was how we left it, towels were still over the bath with some small hand sized towels replaced on the side. No hoovering , or even cleaning of the glasses/cups So my only thing during the stay was cleanliness / housekeeping The pool area It is a little small as others have said , however this didn’t both us as when we used there was only about 3 couples so didn’t feel crowded. Our favourite part was the jacuzzi which overlooks the golf course , the steam room was not in use but we did enjoy the sauna This area also has complimentary towels, and some beds to relax on Dining Our first evening we had reservations at the fire pit which certainly didn’t disappoint, it’s tapas style and the chef sends out according to what compliments eachother. It is a little pricey, but certainly a lovely treat Again the staff here were so attentive especially the lady who looked after us who unfortunately we didn’t get her name. She did seem like she was the person in charge, and nothing was a bother Our menu was explained clearly, the drinks flowed it was really nice On night 2 we had drinks on the outside deck, the cocktails are amazing This is a lovely area, you do get golfers there as apparently this area and where the Korean Cowgirl now is was there clubhouse! It didn’t bother us We then decided on some room service in our room from K. C which was really nice and tasty Breakfast we had included on our room, the first morning we had in the restaurant and 2nd bought to our room. Lots of choice and very filling! None of us golf so we cannot comment on that side All in all it was an enjoyable stay, and we look forward to returning in the future

I understand that theres a pandemic going on, but the drinks/food service is shocking, the staff don’t want to be here and when you’re paying £412 a night its pretty disappointing. The room service is closed due to the pandemic, not really sure why? As a 5* hotel is leaving a room service menu in the room is pretty miss leading. The staff don’t seem to want to be there either which is a shame, me and my wife visited the hotel and they seemed more interested in blue tick celebrities than normal business owners. Its a shame because it has such a lovely setting. Room quality is great but again the walls are marked though. Cleanliness is good though I can’t fault that. Spa facilities are pretty basic with a pool where the jacuzzi doesnt work and the steam room is dangerously hot. I don’t normally moan but when the hotel charges a obscene amount they are opening themselves to criticism.

Unfortunately does not live up to hype and the price paid. Feedback given direct was greeted with the standard response and basically saying it was our fault we didn’t like the food. My feedback was polite but the points totally overlooked. Expensive food served at best tepid. Spicy English breakfast not to our taste but description makes no mention of spice. Had it been described correctly we could have made a different choice. Average stay for 5 star prices.

Extremely impressive and modern hotel. Use of technology in the bedrooms was very excellent and the rooms were very comfortable. Staff were excellent and the food in the Firepit restaurant was top quality.
