We recently held a party at the Cave Resort. The team at the Cave were very helpful from start to finish to help organise the event. The organisation and attention to detail was excellent. The hotel provided access to accommodation on the night as well as providing access to the restaurants in the day for guests that wished to make a day of it. I would happily recommend the venue.

I booked this following a number of recommendations from friends for a surprise birthday treat for my husband. Our room was wonderful with all modern luxuries, probably the best bed we have ever slept in! We dined at the Firepit restaurant, the food was beyond exceptional, the service from Anna, CJ and Will totally made our stay with their professionalism and friendliness. Will topped our evening by making an amazing 'smokey old fashioned cocktail' A truly wonderful escape.

Had such a beautiful stay here! It was mine & my boyfriend’s 6 year anniversary and I honestly had such an amazing time. The room was stunning with picturesque views over the golf course, the bed was quite possibly the most comfortable bed i’ve ever stayed in. The spa was lovely with waiter service via the ipad…. We ate in the Korean Cowgirl which was beautiful, food & drink was really nice! Highly recommend the brisket popcorn & american smash! I honestly cannot wait to rebook - one thing to note, if you want a spa treatment book in well ahead as spaces are limited!

This is a tricky review to write. We had a nice time at the Cave, staying 2 nights, but we feel this hotel isn’t aimed at our age group (early 50s). Firstly the good stuff - the hotel staff were excellent, everyone we met was friendly, knowledgeable and responsive. Special thanks to the reception team, housekeeping team and Rob in the Cowgirl restaurant who was fab. The room was nicely decorated, clean and felt welcoming. It was a bit noisy at times but that’s more down to the inconsiderateness of other guests in the hallway. The food was excellent, we ate in the Firepit first and the food was really interesting and tasty, especially the sticky rice. It is really expensive though! The food at the Cowgirl was really good too. Breakfast was also expensive and disappointing that it was not included in the room cost. The golf course was good and well kept, especially considering the time of year. The downsides - the bed was really soft, I know this is personal taste, but it was way too soft for us. The hotel clearly attracts much younger clientele than us, some of whom did not behave well in the bar area with rudeness to staff, this made us feel uncomfortable at times. I can see from other reviews that this has been a problem previously. Very difficult for the hotel staff to manage though. Overall, we had a nice stay but would not return. We just don’t feel considering what we paid, that the hotel quite hit the mark.

We’ve stayed at The Cave hotel twice and both stays have been fantastic. The attention to detail is faultless, and the staff are kind and helpful. We ate in the Firepit restaurant on both occasions, and the food was exceptional, as was the service. The waiting staff are very knowledgeable and passionate about the food, and their recommendations for dishes were spot on! The hotel has a beautifully designed lounge bar where we enjoyed a cocktail after our meal which was a lovely end to our evening. Our room was quiet and spotlessly clean, with lovely luxury touches, including the best beds! The Cave Hotel is excellent; it never fails to deliver, and we will certainly be returning.

Went here to surprise my bf and we had the best time ever, upon arriving the room was immaculately clean, everything was so aesthetically pleasing, we went to the spa that was very nice and relaxing, a little small but it was still amazing. Later we went to dinner at the fire pit and it was mouthwatering, the food was 10/10. Would recommend the sticky fried rice and sweet Potato, beef fillet and curry chicken skewers. The customer service was beautiful, they are so helpful and attentive, will meet all your needs. They gave us chocolates and cookies and it was well worth the price, my boyfriend had the best birthday ever and I made it very memorable for him. If you needed a sign to go, here it is!

Went to the cave as a treat for my wife’s birthday and checked into the bridal suite. Easily the best hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. Great hotel and brilliant staff. Had a lovely meal in the Korean cowgirl and made use of the spa during a quiet time. Amazing stay. Will be back.

I had the best stay at The Cave Hotel. I stayed with a group of friends and we all had beautiful rooms overlooking the golf course with bed linen to die for! Our meal in the Fire Pit restaurant couldn’t have been better with so much choice and great service. The bar after was fun too and had a lovely atmosphere and of course some great cocktails. To top it off the breakfast in the morning was heavenly. Will definitely return.

Booked a night in a suite with my partner and feel absolutely robbed. We was so excited to go the much hyped up Cave Hotel but it is nothing more than a Z list hotspot over promising on social media. At 576.00 for a room we had high expectations but the room was dusty, telephone did not work and we tried to get the lounge tv working until we gave up. The reception staff was friendly and said they attempted to fix the TV but was unable to, no offer of a room move or compensation. Then comes dinner, ridiculous expensive for small bits of food. It was not much above average. Defiantly not worth the £280 bill. My partner had to order a toastie when we returned to the room later in the evening due to still being hungry. I will not be returning and I would advise everyone else to stay away and go someone you will feel like you get your monies worth

Response from Sergio Gomes, General Manager at Cave Hotel and Resort
Responded 6 days ago
Dear Dave S Thank you for your recent stay. We are sorry to learn that we did not meet with your expectations on this occasion. I am pleased to hear that our friendly staff did their utmost to assist you with the television. Regretably without your booking details I am unable to investigate why you were not moved to an alternative room. I am sorry that you found dinner expensive, we do try to offer a wide selection of choices for our guests from room service to fine dining. I appreciate that we cannot get it right all of the time but your comments have been duly passed on to the team and I hope you decide to stay with us again in the near future.
