My partner and I stayed here as a 'fill-in" for three nights between landing in France and checking in to other accommodation on the weekend. We have been absolutely delighted with this property and the host, Elizabeth. Firstly the room was light, airy and very comfortable; we loved the bed. There was free wi-fi and delicious breakfasts. There are many...

Stayed for four nights and had a wonderful experience. The rooms and location are even more charming than they seem on the property's first rate website. Elizabeth is a wonderful hostess — personable and knowledgeable. An ideal base to explore the nearby bastide towns and spectacular countryside.

Beautifully decorated guest house in tranquil village. Very friendly reception, relaxed environment and delicious breakfast. A great place to stop over or spend a few days visiting the region.

We stayed here in April 2010 for a few nights in the Cardinal Room. We found our suite to be immaculate with a lovely Jacuzzi bath, fluffy towels and dressing gowns, a huge bed with beautiful linen and a very tasty breakfast which changed slightly every day to give a little character, fresh pineapple one day and homemade smoothies the...

Being a guest at Le Prieure du Chateau de Biron for 3 nights was a lovely way to become acquainted with the Dordogne. We stayed in the Chantre room and it was all we could have wanted......a comfortable bed, a small desk for our laptop, linen bedding, a beautiful view from the window and all the amenities in the bed...

The hotel is in an old building that has been beautifully and sensitively restored. There are wooden floors, high ceilings, beams, beautiful furniture, fireplaces, a truly amazing place. The owner Elizabeth is very friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit salad, croissants and home made jam. Our room was enormous, I felt like a princess staying...

We just came from an idyllic stay at the Prieure de Biron, now run by the kind and very gracious Elizabeth, who is French but spent many years in the US, so communications were no problem. To all the wonderful comments made previously, I can only say that the Prieure is even better now, with a beautiful new kitchen (in...

The priory was my home away from home for many years of traveling to the Dordogne. You will not find a more unique location nor a more beautiful hostess anywhere in the region. There are certainly more "Luxe" accomodations in the region but here, the rooms are huge, the location unbeatable and Sally was truly the best hostess imaginable. I...

There are hotels that are run of the mill and there are hotels that are special. This hotel is a gem. Sally's welcome and hospitality at the Priory are faultless. Biron's chateau dominates the local area and the village in October was a haven of peace. The Priory itself is beautiful and Sally offers a fantastic level of comfort in an ancient setting. We stayed two nights and Sally had thoughtfully prebooked dinner at the local auberge for the first evening...
