A lovely place to stay, me and my wife stayed three weeks at Nouri Cottage: beautiful holiday! Rivi, the owner, is very kind and efficient. The other resort close to Nouri are very expensive but without the facilities you can find here. The beautiful beach has a nice close reef, only several meters from the shore. On the beach you can find nice palm trees with a confortable shade, with shower and deckchairs. It's possible to rent new motorbikes with a reasonable price (cheapest then other places nearby). The lovely local village it's just a few meters, where you can find warung to eat and small shops. So the Nouri choice is very great!

The cottages are based right on the beach, with an excellent outdoor area for relaxing - hammocks, chairs etc. Rivi (the owner) is a super friendly guy and can help with excursions to the islands etc. Comfortable rooms and great food available.

I stayed with my wife 3 weeks at Nouri Cottage the last summer. It was a wonderful stay. Rivi is a very kind & efficient owner. The beach of Nouri Cottage is one of the best we found in Maratua: lovely and spectacular palm trees for the shade between cottages and sea, very nice reef not far from the beach (full of big turtles!), confortable bungalows - not too basic - with private bathroom. The price is very low comparing with the resorts beside (that often have less facilities then Nouri!). Many times we saw customers of the luxury resorts coming to our beach because it's more cozy then others... And Nouri cottage is the closest accomodation from the village (warung, little shops), but far enough to have good tranquillity. Last but not least: very rich breakfast with sweets and donuts fresh from the oven. So Nouri Cottage is warmly recommended!…

The room was clean, with a/c and no hot water. Inside only a bed, a chair and a small wardrobe. Distance from the seaside: 10 meters! The bungalows are protected from direct sunlight by the palms around them. You can ask Rivi, the owner, to organize excursion around Maratua and to the other islands, or even to go to see whalesharks (and swim with them!) Additionally you can have dinner there, meals are fine. There is a football field just behind the bungalows, so expect a bit of noise once in a while. Great value for money!

It is well worth the horrendous 5 hour journey to get to Maratua.once there all your stress and cares fall away. The cottages are very basic with only cold showers but the bed was very comfortable. The cottages are 20 steps from the water. In the evening you can sit on the deck and just listen to the birds and bats and watch the sun go down. All the food is simple but very tasty. Revis wife is a good cook .The meals where very fresh and very tasty. The wariung on the beach serves up very simple tasty meals which are so cheap it's . Good snorkeling in the blue hole and lots of turules.
