We stayed just one night and were the only guests but we were still treated to a superb meal prepared by Francesco. Domenico was a mine of information and very interesting. Unfortunately we arrived in the rain and had to leave the next morning so we were not able to enjoy sitting on the lovely terrace with a glass of... More

The farmhouse accommodations and dining room are beautiful with lovely and ancient stonework. The hospitality of the owner, Dominico, was surpassed only by his vast knowledge of history, culture and politics. We had many fascinating conversations at mealtime. We stayed in the former bakery for the farm; a simple, no-frills room. The grounds are beautiful; olive trees everywhere; the landscape... More

The Masseria Storica Pilapalucci has been beautifully restored, and is set among almond and olive trees down an uneven track from the country road leading to/from the pleasant little town of Torrito. The rooms are simply but comfortably furnished, and the location is peaceful (apart from the occasional nocturnal noise of feral dogs). Owners Emilia and Dominco Vitti are extremely... More

4 of us stayed 4 days at Pilapiluuci and every evening was another feast of the most beautiful food. The atmosphere is quite relaxed, other interesting people staying there too. A pool for the hot days and we really enjoyed the peace and quiet yet at the same time we could take a drive to Matera or Martina Franca or... More

Eccelentissimo! We enjoyed the beautiful surroundings of olive and almond trees stretching to the horizon, but most of all we liked the friendly welcome by Emilia and Domenico. No need to buy a guide book, Domenico can tell you all you need to know about Puglia, and Emilia will introduce you to local cuisine. John and Marie-Geneviève P

My husband and I spent two nights in this masseria but, if we had known how pleasant it was, we would have stayed longer! The masseria is overlooking a beautiful landscape of olive and almond trees, fields being delimited by typical stone walls It was restored in a sober style which perfectly matches the ethics of slow food. We had... More

A great and very old Masseria, right in the middle of olive farms. The view from the terrace reminded us of African savannas with accacia trees. Emilia and Dominico are wonderful hosts who gave familiar service. Emilia and Chesso cooked genuine slow food from the region, while Dominico told us so many interesting things about Italy and Puglia + good... More

Beautiful building and atmosphere for having a rest, relaxing and exploring South Italian kitchen. Friendly and helpful people, cleanliness and wonderful environment. Great beaches within reach by car, Historical cities (Bari, Matera, Albarobello, Altamura) are also very close. The place produces its own olive oil - it's a must to taste! We recommend to visit if you are around Bari.
