No specials --- only few options for vegetarian friends staff nice , courteous. Food less than average, even a mix up with order, meaning we had finished before rest started ---- would I revisit ??? Definite No

There are only 6 Chalets which are detached from the inn itself so rooms are quiet, all of the Chalets lookout towards the canal, good point you can park right outside the chalets. You can also book cruises at the end of the car park. We had an evening meal which we all enjoyed Steak and Ale pie. Full English for...

I booked this accommodation for four men out walking, we were all very pleased with our rooms, clean, spacious, with amazing showers. The breakfast was all we could have wanted. The staff were friendly & helpful. We all agreed that the BOATYARD had done us proud. I would recommend the Accommodation at the "BOATYARD".

After visiting at the weekend we will NOT be back. We only stopped for hot drinks and I was shocked how much this once popular restaurant has gone down hill. The staff argued about who was going to make the hot drinks as it seemed that none of them could be bothered to provide the service that is being offered....

I have eaten at the boatyard a number of times in the past and the food has always been great. There was a problem with starter availability and my partners main course was dismal - it was a sad looking cheese and onion pie which was certainly nothing like it's description in the menu and the staff discounted it from...

Last came here about three years ago. It was clean and had a nice lunch. Not so when I went on Friday. It was filthy. My feet were sticking to the floors everywhere. Fag ends all over tables and floors in the outside bit. Coffee shop grim and dusty and dirty. Nobody bothered with us so I went to the...

we used to frequent this place often,we used to have our dinner followed by a nice walk on the canal then have our tea at the boatyard and sit and watch the world go by, as from now on, the place will be watching us drive by, we went for dinner on the 20/8/15, on entry, straight away I felt...

Visited several times this summer , but called in Wed 12/08/15 for tea , service poor ,waited 40 minutes for food which turned up just after we enquired how long it would be, pub only averagely busy. Food tasted as though it had been ready for some time , cheese was like rubber and sausages swimming in gravy (more like...

Well equipped room, everything we needed. Brilliant bathroom with an enormous shower and bath. Lovely setting near the canal. Staff were very friendly and hospitable. Enjoyed a cooked breakfast but didn't eat in the pub itself.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our canalside location is a winner in the sunshine - sit back and relax with a long, cool drink as you watch the narrowboats float quietly by. And if the weather's not quite so pleasant, we've got loads of room inside with a choice of comfy sofas or dining chairs and tables. With great value food made on-site from locally sourced ingredients, our menu has something for everyone and the quality of our food is superior. Our bar has four beers on hand pump and we've got a great selection of lagers, cider, wines and soft drinks. And there's no rush to drive home after an evening at The Boatyard - why not stay in one of our six recently decorated and well appointed rooms. Then wake up to a hearty breakfast and grab a latte in our coffee shop before leaving. ... more   less
