My family of 5 stayed in this hotel between 2 rooms. The rooms were clean and comfortable and we enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. The safe's in the rooms didn't work and we were only given one drinking glass in our room. The hotel is in a beautiful location, with rooms enjoying views of the sea. Onsite parking is available, although it was very tight and difficult to negotiate (to avoid damaging our hire vehicle we parked on the street). Staff on the front desk were very friendly and welcoming. We'd recommend this hotel to future travellers
I returned to Bagnare after an absence of 3 years with 3 British Friends and had the pleasure to notice that the Grand Hotel Victoria ha created a new restaurant on the first floor, with the wall overlooking the seafront completely open and a fantastic view of the beach, the sea, and Vulcano Island. The food was superb ans so the wine and the service.
Adequately clean and comfortable hotel nicely decorated. On a busy road and although we were on the third floor the noise of people and traffic were apparent during the night. We had a balcony with weird opening patio doors which we had to ask for assistance to close them. We later found that others in our group also had to do the same. The food was nice and the staff pleasant although we only saw 2 staff. One on reception who also helped with the patio doors and another who served the drinks in the evening and was also apparent at breakfast. Breakfast was limited choice as is usual with continental style.
Lunch was amazing! Angiloletti with spinach a must, light tomato sauce.. grilled veggies and calamari apps! Open air restaurant with a view of the ocean topped off our meal. Friends staying at the hotel love it!
Spent 1 night with my family, on the way to Sicily. The hotel was very good, also Bagnara Calabra was a nice small town. The only weak point is the parking, not easy. They also have a wide selection of granite (love them).
